- Trends in the David Jones collection include cool florals, bomber jackets and interesting textures
Supermodel Karlie Kloss has been chosen as the face of David Jones' new Autumn/Winter campaign as the battle between the Australian department store and rival Myer continues.
The 24-year-old is heading back to Sydney this week to appear in the show on Wednesday.
Karlie Kloss will walk alongside Antipodean names such as Bridget Malcolm, Jessica Gomes and Jesinta Campbell.

In campaign images, Ms Kloss is seen wearing a number of outfits in different weather settings
The supermodel also appears in the campaign images for the Autumn/Winter collection, which looks fittingly dark and moody in its aesthetic.
In one photo, Kloss is pictured wearing a Clara Zampatti faux fur shrug against a dark and cloudy background. In a visual twist, she holds a melting ice cream cone as she looks off into the distance.
Other images see Ms Kloss in different weather settings, one with her on a bench in the sun and another posed in the shadow of a large autumn tree.
When it comes to trends, cool florals feature heavily in the collection
From dresses to shirts, the pattern usually used for spring is revamped for colder months
Mid length hems and longer sleeves make the dresses more appropriate for the weather
But there are peaks of skin with at least one dress (pictured) featuring a low cut neckline
They key trends in the upcoming Autumn/Winter collection appear to be vintage-inspired florals, unique bomber jackets and clean lines.
Although florals are usually a hallmark of spring collections, David Jones has brought them into autumn by adding cooler tones.
The blue-based prints are designed so they would work perfectly with bare legs in early autumn and then paired with stockings and boots for the colder months.
Bomber jackets are also a massive trend for the new season, with many brands reinventing the staple.
Rather than traditional bomber jackets, the new collection features options with bright colours and floral embroidery.
They are seen paired both with plain pants as well as as patterned skirts, proving that colour can be versatile too.
Jackets are also a big feature of the campaign, particularly focusing on textured jackets
Bomber jackets are back, but this time with bright colours and luxe fabrics
Embroidery puts the cool factor up a notch for the much-loved jacket style
The style is seen paired both with simple pants and patterned skirts
There are also more pared-back designs featuring cool colours and clean lines
A well tailored jacket is an investment piece that never goes out of style
Unexpected textures and details ensure the designs are simple and never boring
Rather than the statement florals and colourful jackets, the third big trend of the season is muted block colours and clean lines.
Simple coats, jackets, tops and pants are given a modern twist with unexpected fabric choices.
When it comes to textures, leather and lace both make an appearance, as well as snakeskin prints in the store's lingerie collection.
David Jones' Group Executive of Merchandise, David Collins said that despite being an Autumn/Winter show the collection was designed to suit all types of climate.
'Australians increasingly appreciate the realities of unseasonable weather and David Jones' AW17 campaign speaks to that,' he explained.
'Supermodel Karlie Kloss as this season's face; our campaign has showcased our exclusive Australian and international designers and their strongest pieces from AW17, displaying the versatility of our ranges in dressing and across climates and seasons.'
Other textures featured heavily include lace and leather
The lingerie collection features blues as well, with touches of lace
But for a more rock-n-roll edge, snakeskin also features in the line up
