Now that's awkward! Lisa Wilkinson repeatedly gushes over Chris Judd in front of his wife Rebecca as she admits the former AFL player sets 'the benchmark high' as a husband and father

She's the Today co-host who isn't hesitant to celebrate her guests.

And Lisa Wilkinson praised retired AFL player Chris Judd again on Monday during an interview with his wife and mother of his four children, Bec Judd, on the show.

Referring to a previous interview she conducted with the couple in November last year, the 57-year-old grinned as she coyly said, 'Give Chris our love' to Bec.

'We didn't mean that thing about - well maybe, I didn't mean that thing about...' Lisa continued, when co-host Karl Stefanovic interrupted and said to her, 'Yes, you did'.

'Maybe I did' she replied with a cheeky smile, then added as she looked directly into camera and said, 'Hey Chris!'.

Bec appeared a little embarrassed at the host's focus on her husband and said, 'Thanks guys' to the panel as she turned her gaze downwards.

The veteran journalist was curious about Chris's partner and parenting skills.

'Let's give him a mark out of 10?' the mature beauty asked Bec as she cradled one of their newborn twins, Tom.

'So good. He's a 10!' Bec replied. 'When I was pregnant, he used to shave my legs for me.'

When Lisa was back in studio and discussed the interview with Karl, her co-host remarked: 'Chris, I can't reach my knees, so if you could come around and shave my legs that would be great bro.'

'There are blokes around the country not very happy with you at the moment,' Lisa added, in a message to Chris. 'That's setting the benchmark high'.
