Every member of a local Labour Party executive committee has quit in support of a colleague who was allegedly bullied by a transgender rights campaigner.The unnamed male activist is said to have harassed women's officer Anne Ruzylo for months after they disagreed over 'gender identity' issues.Miss Ruzylo, 52, claims the fellow party member carried out a smear campaign against her.A leaked letter revealed the committee all resigned over what they believe to be Labour's failure to deal with 'disciplinary complaints' regarding the reported abuse.The six executive committee members in Bexhill and Battle, East Sussex, wrote that the alleged bullying had 'seriously damaged' their ability to function, and they had been forced to spend their time 'being siphoned away into internal disciplinary matters' instead of 'fighting the Tories'.'We have been deeply disappointed by a lack of meaningful, timely and decisive action from regional and national party structures to support the executive committee in addressing these disciplinary issues,' the letter added.The unidentified activist, who is not transgender but is a passionate supporter of those who are, allegedly tried to prevent Miss Ruzylo, from Bexhill-on-Sea, from voicing her concerns at meetings. He supports Government plans to reform the legal definition of man and woman, but Miss Ruzylo believes critics' fears of appearing politically incorrect could prevent proper scrutiny of the legislation.He also described her as a 'Terf', a derogatory term that stands for 'trans-exclusionary radical feminist', on social media. Miss Ruzylo was also accused of 'transphobia' in three formal complaints – one reportedly from Lily Madigan, 19, formerly a boy called Liam who identifies as female.She made the headlines last year when she sought legal advice after her school threatened to suspend her for wearing a girl's uniform.Miss Madigan, from Kent, demanded that Miss Ruzylo be removed from her job over some of the women's officer's tweets, which she regarded as transphobic.Former prison officer Miss Ruzylo, who is a lesbian, told The Times she felt 'violated', adding that the way she had been silenced was 'disgusting'.She added: 'Debate is not hate. If we can't talk about gender laws and get shut down on that, what's next? We're going back to the days of McCarthyism. It is disgraceful.'The local Labour Party has now been left without an executive committee and will have to call an early AGM to elect new members. Madigan
Madigan is a 1968 American dramatic thriller film directed by Don Siegel and starring Richard Widmark and Henry Fonda.
The screenplay—originally titled Friday, Saturday, Sunday—was adapted by two writers who had been blacklisted in the 1950s, Howard Rodman (credited here under the pseudonym Henri Simoun) and Abraham Polonsky. It was based on the 1962 novel The Commissioner by Richard Dougherty, a former New York bureau chief of the Los Angeles Times who had served in the 1950s as a deputy New York City police commissioner for community relations.
Siegel was a genre director known at the time for taut action films like The Lineup (1958) and Hell Is for Heroes (1962), as well as the original science fiction classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). He later directed five films starring Clint Eastwood, including Dirty Harry.
Plot
In New York City's Spanish Harlem, police detectives Dan Madigan and Rocco Bonaro break into a sleazy apartment and arrest Barney Benesch, a hoodlum wanted for questioning by a Brooklyn precinct. Momentarily distracted by the suspect's nude girl friend, the two detectives are outwitted by Benesch, who escapes with their guns.

Royal Holloway, University of London
Royal Holloway, University of London, formally incorporated as Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, is a public research university and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It has three faculties, 20 academic departments and c. 9,265 undergraduate and postgraduate students from over 100 countries. The campus is just west of Egham, Surrey, within the Greater London Urban Area, although outside the M25 motorway and c. 19 miles (31 km) from the geographic centre of London.
The Egham campus was founded in 1879 by the Victorian entrepreneur and philanthropist Thomas Holloway. Royal Holloway College was officially opened in 1886 by Queen Victoria as an all-women college. It became a member of the University of London in 1900. In 1945, the college admitted male postgraduate students, and in 1965, around 100 of the first male undergraduates. In 1985, Royal Holloway merged with Bedford College (another former all-women's college in London, which was founded in 1849 and, like Royal Holloway, joined the University of London in 1900 and became fully co-educational in 1965). The merged college was named Royal Holloway and Bedford New College (RHBNC), this remaining the official registered name of the college by Act of Parliament. The campus is dominated by the Founder's Building, a Grade I listed red-brick building modelled on the Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley, France.

Politicians approve another €80 million for horse and greyhound racing
Shame on the 85 TDs who this week voted in favour of the Horse and Greyhound Racing Regulations 2017 and the release of another €80 million in funding for these gambling industries. It is a particularly deplorable move at a time when our country's health and housing is in crisis and so many worthy causes are crying out for funds. These 85 TDs (mostly Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and Labour) have voted to channel €64 million euro of taxpayers' money to Horse Racing Ireland and €16 million to the Irish Greyhound Board. The huge cash injections (which match the amounts given last year) not only benefit horse and greyhound racing but, as reported previously by ICABS, foxhunters and hare coursers too.
