Shahjahanpur ( شاہجہان پور; / शाहजहाँपुर) is a municipal board, town and district headquarters of Shahjahanpur District in Uttar Pradesh, India. It is also home to the Ordnance Clothing Factory, set up by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. In Hindustani classical music, Shahjahanpur is the origin of one of the most important Gharanas of the musical instrument called Sarod.
Shahjahanpur was established by Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan, sons of Dariya Khan, a soldier in the army of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Both Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan were dignitaries in the regime of Shahjahan. Pleased with the services of Diler Khan, Shahjahan gave him 17 villages with the permission to construct fort. Diler Khan developed a fort at Nainar Khera, situated on the rivers Garrah and Khannaut. He also established 52 types of Pathan's Caste. Today most of the mohallas are included in the name of these castes.
There are two mazārs which connect Shahjahanpur city from one corner to the other corner. One majar is of Shaheed Ahmad Ullah Shah, a great freedom fighter of the 1857 struggle, and another is Shaheed Ashfaqallah Khan ( of Kakori Kand ). Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah began his struggle in Faizabad (U.P.). From there, he went to Shahjahanpur, where his life ended. Seventy years later, Ashfaqullah initiated a struggle against the British government and was hanged in the prison of Faizabad.
Shahjahanpur made a considerable contribution to the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Nana Sahib Peshwa of Bithur, Shahjade from Delhi, Ahmad Ullah Shah from Faizabad and Khan Badahur Khan from Bareilly united here and planned for further actions in the struggle. Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah was killed by British forces in Powayan.
Freedom fighters Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah, Nazim Ali and Bakshi were unsuccessful in their efforts, but later Shaheed Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, and Roshan Singh made major contributions to the freedom movement. In 1916 a society in the name of Matrivedi Sangh was formed by Bismil under the leadership of Pt. Genda Lal Dixit ( known for Mainpuri conspiracy ). Its purpose was to raise funds for the struggle, but because of a lack of funds, members of the society turned to adopt robbery.
After Mahatma Gandhi withdrew his support from the movement, Ram Prasad Bismil founded Hindustan Republican Association under the joint leadership of Jogesh Chandra Chatterjee and Sachindra Nath Sanyal. To implement the plan, and contributions were sought. Once again, when contributions were not adequate, robbery became the main fund-raising technique.
On 9 August 1925, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, and Rajendra Lahiri conducted a robbery of government funds near Kakori railway station
Shahjahanpur is origin of an important Sarod gharana, named after the city itself. देश को गुलामी की जंजीरों से मुक्ति दिलाने के लिए अपने जीवन को बलिदान कर देने वाले शहीदों को आज आजादी के 68 साल बाद भी उनकी शहादत को सम्मान योग्य नहीं समझा जा रहा है। यह अन्याय शाहजहाँपुर के शहीद राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल, ठाकुर रौशन, अश़फ़ाक उल्ला खाँ और राजेन्द्र लाहिड़ी के साथ हो रहा है। इन अमर शहीदों के साथ न्याय न ब्रितानी सरकार ने किया था, और न ही आज के आजाद भारत के सरकार कर रही है।
उत्तर प्रदेश के जिला शाहजहाँपुर में खिरनीबाग स्थित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल का घर, जहाँ उनका बचपन बीता, जहाँ से देश के लिए क्रांति की शुरूआत की, जहाँ से अँग्रेजी सरकार ने उन्हें काकोरी आंदोलन के जुर्म में गिरफ्तार किया था। उस घर में आज दूसरे लोग रह रहे हैं। बिस्मिल की बहनजी की मृत्यु के बाद उनके घर आज जैसा बताया जाता है चार परिवार निवास कर रहे हैं। जबकि अमर शहीद की घर को राष्ट्रीय धरोहर घोषित करना और शहीदों की याद में स्मारक बनना चाहिए था। इतना ही नहीं, बिस्मिल के घर को छोड़ने के लिए आज रह रहा परिवार 3 करोड़ के बड़ी रकम की मांग कर रहा है।
बिस्मिल के घर को राष्ट्रीय धरोहर घोषित कराने और स्मारक बनवाने के लिए पिछले करीब एक दशक से विभिन्न स्तरों पर लड़ाई लड़ रहे शाहजहाँपुर के सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अशित पाठक बताते हैं कि इसके वो अपने साथियों के साथ मिलकर सामाजिक और राजनीतिक स्तर कई प्रयास कर चुके हैं, लेकिन किसी ने आगे बढ़कर मदद नहीं की। यहां तक कि शाहजहाँपुर के सांसद और स्थानीय विधायक ने भी मदद करने से अप्रत्यक्ष तौर पर इंकार कर दिया है। पाठक इन राजनैतिक नेताओं पर आरोप लगाते हैं कि ये सपा, बसपा, कांग्रेस और भाजपा के नेतागण अमर शहीदों की सेवा में मदद करने की सोचते तक नहीं है, लेकिन मदद करने वालों को बहला-फुसलाकर रोकने का प्रयास अक्सर करते रहे हैं।

Uttar Pradesh (/ˈʊtər prəˈdɛʃ/, Hindi : उत्तर प्रदेश literally "Northern Province"), abbreviated as UP, is a state located in Northern India. It was created on 1 April 1937 as the United Provinces, and was renamed Uttar Pradesh in 1950. Lucknow is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. It covers 243,290 square kilometres (93,933 sq mi), equal to 6.88% of the total area of India, and is the fourth largest Indian state by area. With over 200 million inhabitants in 2011, it is the most populous state in the country as well as the most populous country subdivision in the world. Hindi is the official and most widely spoken language in its 75 districts. Uttar Pradesh is the third largest Indian state by economy, with a GDP of ₹9763 billion (US$140 billion). Agriculture and service industries are the largest parts of the state's economy. The service sector comprises travel and tourism, hotel industry, real estate, insurance and financial consultancies.

Shahjahanpur ( شاہجہان پور; / शाहजहाँपुर) is a municipal board, town and district headquarters of Shahjahanpur District in Uttar Pradesh, India. It is also home to the Ordnance Clothing Factory, set up by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. In Hindustani classical music, Shahjahanpur is the origin of one of the most important Gharanas of the musical instrument called Sarod.
Shahjahanpur was established by Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan, sons of Dariya Khan, a soldier in the army of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Both Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan were dignitaries in the regime of Shahjahan. Pleased with the services of Diler Khan, Shahjahan gave him 17 villages with the permission to construct fort. Diler Khan developed a fort at Nainar Khera, situated on the rivers Garrah and Khannaut. He also established 52 types of Pathan's Caste. Today most of the mohallas are included in the name of these castes.
There are two mazārs which connect Shahjahanpur city from one corner to the other corner. One majar is of Shaheed Ahmad Ullah Shah, a great freedom fighter of the 1857 struggle, and another is Shaheed Ashfaqallah Khan ( of Kakori Kand ). Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah began his struggle in Faizabad (U.P.). From there, he went to Shahjahanpur, where his life ended. Seventy years later, Ashfaqullah initiated a struggle against the British government and was hanged in the prison of Faizabad.
Shahjahanpur made a considerable contribution to the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Nana Sahib Peshwa of Bithur, Shahjade from Delhi, Ahmad Ullah Shah from Faizabad and Khan Badahur Khan from Bareilly united here and planned for further actions in the struggle. Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah was killed by British forces in Powayan.
Freedom fighters Maulvi Ahamad Ullah Shah, Nazim Ali and Bakshi were unsuccessful in their efforts, but later Shaheed Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, and Roshan Singh made major contributions to the freedom movement. In 1916 a society in the name of Matrivedi Sangh was formed by Bismil under the leadership of Pt. Genda Lal Dixit ( known for Mainpuri conspiracy ). Its purpose was to raise funds for the struggle, but because of a lack of funds, members of the society turned to adopt robbery.
After Mahatma Gandhi withdrew his support from the movement, Ram Prasad Bismil founded Hindustan Republican Association under the joint leadership of Jogesh Chandra Chatterjee and Sachindra Nath Sanyal. To implement the plan, and contributions were sought. Once again, when contributions were not adequate, robbery became the main fund-raising technique.
On 9 August 1925, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, and Rajendra Lahiri conducted a robbery of government funds near Kakori railway station
Shahjahanpur is origin of an important Sarod gharana, named after the city itself. बिस्मिल के घर को राष्ट्रीय धरोहर घोषित कराने और स्मारक बनवाने के लिए पिछले करीब एक दशक से विभिन्न स्तरों पर लड़ाई लड़ रहे शाहजहाँपुर के सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अशित पाठक बताते हैं कि इसके वो अपने साथियों के साथ मिलकर सामाजिक और राजनीतिक स्तर कई प्रयास कर चुके हैं, लेकिन किसी ने आगे बढ़कर मदद नहीं की। यहां तक कि शाहजहाँपुर के सांसद और स्थानीय विधायक ने भी मदद करने से अप्रत्यक्ष तौर पर इंकार कर दिया है। पाठक इन राजनैतिक नेताओं पर आरोप लगाते हैं कि ये सपा, बसपा, कांग्रेस और भाजपा के नेतागण अमर शहीदों की सेवा में मदद करने की सोचते तक नहीं है, लेकिन मदद करने वालों को बहला-फुसलाकर रोकने का प्रयास अक्सर करते रहे हैं।

देश को गुलामी की जंजीरों से मुक्ति दिलाने के लिए अपने जीवन को बलिदान कर देने वाले शहीदों को आज आजादी के 68 साल बाद भी उनकी शहादत को सम्मान योग्य नहीं समझा जा रहा है। यह अन्याय शाहजहाँपुर के शहीद राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल, ठाकुर रौशन, अश़फ़ाक उल्ला खाँ और राजेन्द्र लाहिड़ी के साथ हो रहा है। इन अमर शहीदों के साथ न्याय न ब्रितानी सरकार ने किया था, और न ही आज के आजाद भारत के सरकार कर रही है।
उत्तर प्रदेश के जिला शाहजहाँपुर में खिरनीबाग स्थित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल का घर, जहाँ उनका बचपन बीता, जहाँ से देश के लिए क्रांति की शुरूआत की, जहाँ से अँग्रेजी सरकार ने उन्हें काकोरी आंदोलन के जुर्म में गिरफ्तार किया था। उस घर में आज दूसरे लोग रह रहे हैं। बिस्मिल की बहनजी की मृत्यु के बाद उनके घर आज जैसा बताया जाता है चार परिवार निवास कर रहे हैं। जबकि अमर शहीद की घर को राष्ट्रीय धरोहर घोषित करना और शहीदों की याद में स्मारक बनना चाहिए था। इतना ही नहीं, बिस्मिल के घर को छोड़ने के लिए आज रह रहा परिवार 3 करोड़ के बड़ी रकम की मांग कर रहा है।
