That's got to hurt! Justin Bieber gets slammed against glass exterior during NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout by Chris Pronger

Justin Bieber hit the hockey rink for the 2017 NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout in Los Angeles on Saturday, a match honouring the late actor Alan Thicke.

The 21-year-old looked a total pro as he glided the puck around and scored a goal for his team inside the Staples Center.

But it wasn't complete smooth sailing for the star, who found himself slammed by Arizona Coyotes pro Chris Pronger against a glass exterior.

Justin was one of several stars, including Cuba Gooding Jr., who were a member of Team Gretzky.

The puck narrowly made it's way past the quick-thinking goalie, who lunged forward to stop the goal.

Gliding this way and that on the hockey rink, Justin made playing hockey appear easy.

The match saw hockey stars such as Patrick Kane, Rob Blake, and Peter Forsberg team up with celebrities that included Billy Flynn, Tim Robbins, and Alan's son Carter Thicke for a match-up benefiting the nonprofit organization Echoes of Hope, according to NHL.com.

The teams were named after hockey pros Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky, who both guided their own players, adds the website.

Not only was the match doing good by assisting Echoes Of Hope, but the stars paid tribute to the late actor Thicke by wearing special patches on their jersey in honour of the Growing Pains star, according to the website.

Alan died last month after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter, who was set to play that day.

Not present was Alan's son Robin Thicke, according to TMZ, who pulled out of his NHL100 Gala tribute for his late father Alan Thicke on Friday.

The actor was also set to coach a team - which would have included brother Carter - for Saturday's match, but ended up backing out, adds the website

This comes after his custody battle with his former wife Paula Patton has taken an ugly turn with claims of abuse.

The Blurred Lines' hitmaker was nowhere to be seen during the tribute held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Instead, family friend and hockey star Wayne Gretzky replaced Robin to honour the late actor.

Meanwhile, it won't be long until Justin is back on the road for his Purpose tour.
