Trade Policy and Programs

Trade Policy and Programs advances U.S. trade and agricultural policy objectives by opening new export opportunities for American businesses, farmers, ranchers and workers through bilateral, regional and global trade initiatives - including trade agreements and the World Trade Organization (WTO). In partnership with agencies across the federal government and the private sector, Trade and Policy Programs staff work to maximize the benefits of open markets for global economic development, address and resolve trade disputes, improve access for U.S. goods and services abroad, and promote global food security, food safety and agricultural innovation.
