12/31/2016 - The Bear and my family were excited to spend a few quiet days at Lake Conroe and chose this gorgeous and well-appointed property for our stay – we could not have been happier! Pete and Janet, the owners were very attentive and made us feel at home. The property sat right at the foot of the shore of Lake Conroe. From the large living room picture windows, we enjoyed viewing gorgeous sunrises each morning. In the evening, we took full advantage of the large gas grill for meals on the patio. In warmer weather you would only need an inner-tube to enjoy the lake right off the back patio and you could also make use of the available boat slip a few feet from the back door. Each of the three bedrooms offered large, comfortable beds and provided plenty of room for all of us. The Bear and our daughter enjoyed the bunk room while my wife and I enjoyed the master suite which included a spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the amenities so much that we ran out of time to take in a movie in the complimentary theater. As we left, we all agreed, including the Bear, that spending time at Pete and Janet’s lakeside retreat was the perfect place for us to recharge and get ready for the New Year.

12/30/2016 - The Bear struck Southern gold in this great historical home in Savannah. The experience was a perfect 10 out of 10 on the rating scale. This Bear felt right at home across the street from the largest park in historic Savannah. Forsyth Park was perfect for throwing the Frisbee, playing at the playgrounds and jogging on the beautiful trail. The location is truly ideal being it is within walking distance to all that Savannah has to offer and if the bear’s footsies ever did tire, it was only a $5 uber ride away from the riverfront. The home itself was also a true treasure with high vaulted ceilings and notable Victorian touches in every room. The upstairs has two master bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds (one with a king and one with two queens) and en-suite bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom also had two queen beds which made this a perfect spot for the bear’s grandparents who didn’t want to climb the stairs. The Bear even had an impromptu guitar and singing session on the wonderful front porch. For the bear’s favorite pastime of eating, there was no shortage of great Southern comfort cooking restaurants like Mrs Wilkes and the Olde Pink House, but it was very nice to “stay in” one night at the house, cook/eat tacos, and watch football and movies together in the cozy living room. The Bear also loved walking across the street to Sentinel Coffee for his morning coffee and then heading back to fill the Jepson house with the smell of pancakes and bacon. Lastly, part of a great vacation is to feel welcomed and Savannah Dream Vacations did that and more, making the Bear’s stay one for the vacation record books!

12/26/2016 - The VRBO bear and family had a fantastic, relaxing getaway thanks to this amazing property in Montezuma Beach! The spacious luxury villa had so many great amenities that made the stay comfortable and convenient. These amenities included a garage for the Bear-mobile, A/C unit in each room for each guest’s personalized comfort, patios on both floors with incredible scenic views of the ocean and wildlife, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, grill, an awesome salt water pool (complete with color-changing pool lights), and so much more. We appreciated that the owners had detailed information for the house, the area, and contact information in case of any issues. The house is up on a hill just outside of Montezuma Beach which was perfect for making us feel like we were in a secluded jungle-esque area yet we knew we could easily go into town for some delicious eats and easy access to groceries or adventure tours or THE BEACH! Also, the family couldn’t believe the views of the sunrise over the ocean each day; they were majestic! We particularly enjoyed doing yoga (mats provided at the house) out on the terrace each day. This was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken and we’re grateful for everything that Casa Solipaz had to offer! We have already told several friends about this gem and we will be back! Pura Vida!!

Enjoy the life of luxury in this impeccable ski-in/ ski-out Deer Valley Condo!

12/24/2016 - We were delighted from the moment we stepped foot into this amazing condo in the heart of the beautiful Deer Valley. It is impeccably decorated and furnished with everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay. The best part was the ability to have your skis delivered to the door and to step right outside the condo onto the chairlift and then easily store your skis in the first floor ski locker. We loved the ability to pop in for lunch and to cook with the high-end kitchen appliances and then relax by the fireplace looking out at the beautiful view or spending time in one of the 2 hot tubs in the evening. The condo is only about a 10 minute drive from Park City and offers free luxury shuttles to and from anywhere you want to go in Deer Valley or Park City. We highly recommend this condo to groups of family or friends looking to get away for a perfect luxury ski vacation. It truly does not get better than this!

The views from this Destin condo are simply unbelievable!

12/24/2016 - Christmas came early when the VRBO Bear and his family arrived at Christian Condos in Destin, Florida. Having a designated parking spot in the parking garage was very convenient. We were able to load our bags onto the provided luggage carts and easily bring them up to the 16th floor on the super-fast elevator. Once inside, we were impressed by the view – it was unbelievable! We were even able to watch dolphins play in the surf from the balcony. The Bear’s personal favorite, was watching the sun rise and set over the gorgeous emerald Caribbean ocean as it washed against the pearl white sand. The condo itself was very comfortable and stocked with dishes, pots, pans, cookware and much more. The bedrooms each have their own TV and a comfortable king size bed. There was plenty of room for everyone. When it came time to venture out, we had a great time soaking in the hot tub and walking just a few feet from there to the beach. It was an unforgettable week and I would recommend this lovely condo to anyone who is looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

12/14/2016 - We had the absolute pleasure of staying at “Mermaids Cove” in beautiful Anna Maria Island/Homes Beach, FL. This picture-perfect 4 bed/2 bath townhome is conveniently located on the Island within short walking or bike riding distance to almost everything….especially the beach!!!! Being able to walk to the beach was so convenient and nice. The house itself is the perfect vacation home. It was spacious and comfortable and had almost everything you could imagine, both inside and out (beach chairs and toys). We made the mistake of going grocery shopping prior to checking out the house. We were shocked at how well-stocked it was, including the cookware and utensils. Throughout the house are beautiful wood floors that even though it is a beach house, made us feel like we were at home. The beds were very comfortable as well, another luxury we don’t find very often when staying away from home. The backyard is perfect for relaxing and cooking out. Laura was so helpful and accommodating from making the booking process easy, to suggesting their favorite to-do’s and restaurants around town. If you’re looking for a wonderful, relaxing home to stay in a beautiful beach town, then I 100% recommend “Mermaids Cove.”

12/14/2016 - This lovely vacation home offers many attractions! First of all, the view overlooking the mountains is stunning. The home’s three levels are extremely spacious, allowing our family and friends (15 in all) very comfortable accommodations. The kitchen is exceptional (two dishwashers, two pull out trash units, commercial ice maker, etc.) as is the great room and dining area! Everything we needed was at our fingertips including a well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and cozy robes for running outdoors to and from the hot tub. This owner went the extra mile by heating the garage so all the ski and snowboard gear could be stored easily and readily packed for our days on the slopes. The interior and exterior are beautiful and the elevator and theatre room were just an added bonus! We would definitely stay in this home again and highly recommend it for a large group. We had an awesome time!

12/13/2016 - If you love to ski, the VRBO Bear and his crew highly recommend this beautiful townhouse as a base camp. The location is perfect! There is a choice of ski in/ski out or a courtesy bus stop at the end of the driveway and the bus drops you at the Quicksilver lift/Peak 9 base area after a short 5 minute ride. The historic Breckenridge town center is only a short 10 minute drive. But enough of the logistics - the house itself is beautifully furnished and each room is inviting and comfortable. The living room and master bedroom have beautiful views of Breckenridge Resort. The 3 levels with 3 separate bathrooms provided plenty of privacy for our group of 7 adults. The hot tub is the perfect way to end a day on the slopes and the 2 gas fireplaces put out plenty of heat to warm your bones after spending the day outdoors. For us, it's as much about the fun around the dining room table as it is hitting the slopes, and this house is set up to create lifelong memories with family and friends. In addition, the staff at Ski Colorado Vacation rentals was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. We will surely return again!

12/07/2016 - As an employee of HomeAway/VRBO and as a representative of the mascot, the VRBO Bear, I hibernate in a lot of Vacation Rentals, but this one was by far one of the best stays I’ve had! I, along with 5 other “bears” travelled together for an annual get together. We usually try to relax, unwind, laugh and, when we’re done hibernating as bears do, explore. This home, the amenities, furnishings, offerings from the owner and proximity to, literally everything, allowed us to do all of that and MORE. First let me state that Sean, the owner was incredibly accommodating to our requests. He provided a great list of wineries and restaurants to visit, as Bears do eat a ton! Upon a simple pre-visit inquiry, we received grocery delivery prior to arrival which was wonderful after a long journey. The house itself is charming. It sits on beautiful grounds with gardens galore including seasonal vegetables and fruits (yours for the picking). The hot tub was perfectly heated before we arrived! The kitchen is fully appointed and we were able to make a couple of gourmet breakfasts before heading out for the day to explore. Beds and linens were first rate and made for great nights rest after long days touring. Sofas and other areas for relaxation were extremely comfortable. It’s a very lovely home with more space than 6 bears could EVER need! We did and saw everything! The house is centrally located, and we spent a ton of time locally, as well as ventured out to the Redwoods, the Coast, Napa and many smaller villages in Sonoma. Perfect location! We had a phenomenal experience at La Casa Caliente and all it has to offer. We highly recommend and it’s likely we’ll be back!

12/04/2016 - This beachfront Galveston condo has it all – location, amenities and charm. My husband, two children and I stayed in this lovely condo for a weekend in December. While the weather did not cooperate, we were very comfortable and cozy spending much of our time inside. The deck has amazing views of the pool and the ocean just beyond. The downstairs has an open floorplan with lots of seating and beautiful beach-themed decor. Upstairs are two very comfy bedrooms (our kids loved the bunk beds) and bathrooms with everything you need. On a warm sunny day you will love lounging by the pool and swim-up bar with a great view of the Gulf of Mexico. We appreciated the owner’s hospitality and we had a wonderful weekend. We would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed our "slopeside" stay at this beautiful Whistler property.

11/30/2016 - The “True Ski-in/Out Slopeside” villas are stunning! My family and I visited during the Thanksgiving holiday and could not have asked for a better vacation. This luxurious vacation rental is in the PERFECT location— conveniently located ON the slope above the Whistler Village, in between the Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain Gondolas (only 30 seconds skiing and 5 minutes walking). Included are both houses, which are beautifully decorated, newly renovated and offer high end furnishings throughout. The overall feel is one of comfortable luxury; with high ceilings, beautiful views, heated floors and two private hot tubs. Each house has three stories, 4 bedrooms (8 total), a well-equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, a cozy fireplace and a high-end entertainment system. I could go on and on about the beauty of the homes, but one of the most special moments for us was getting to know the homeowners—Sabina & Michael. I knew Sabina was extraordinarily attentive and helpful during our booking process; however, meeting her and her husband showed how much they truly care about the travelers that stay in their homes. They offered great recommendations and wanted to be sure we had a great time! The icing on the cake was the 6 feet of snow we received during our stay—talk about some of the best skiing of our lives! All around, it was an absolutely incredible vacation and we would highly recommend Whistler & the “True Ski-in/Out Slopeside” villas to anyone!

The Carriage House is the perfect place to stay while enjoying downtown Savannah

11/29/2016 - I had never been to Savannah before, and the Wedding Cake Carriage House was the perfect place and jumping off point to explore this charming city with my wife. The house was right downtown in the historic district next to one of Savannah’s more beautiful and famous squares (it turned out to be around the corner from the Williams Mercer house featured in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil!). We didn’t need to drive much, and were able to cover a lot of ground on foot (we did a bike tour as well as visited several architecture and art museums). I wasn’t familiar with “carriage houses” before, but found it spacious and very accommodating. The covered garage parking under the house was very convenient too! My wife and I were very comfortable in the house during the stay (my wife especially liked how soft the bed was), and I could see the place being fine for a couple more children or guests on the fold-out bed. We were impressed by the size and how outfitted the kitchen was too, and the courtyard provided a soothing place to relax by the fountain. A couple mornings, I jogged down to nearby historic Forsyth Park and did some laps with the stroller moms. All in all, I can’t imagine a much better location to explore Savannah from!

11/27/2016 - Villa Natalia is THE place for a dream vacation! This beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath penthouse condo had plenty of space for my family and me to kick back and relax. The home has everything you can think of to make your time here as easy as possible. The décor is amazing, the atmosphere is fun, and the views are spectacular! The kitchen has everything you need to make a great meal and the dining area is very accommodating. Enjoy yourself on the balcony with the cool breeze coming right off the ocean. Afterwards, kick back in comfy hammock and enjoy the sunset. The pool is right downstairs, and mere steps beyond that, your toes will be feeling the sand and the ocean. You can chill in the beach chairs or take the kayaks out for a spin! Time to explore! You don’t have to venture very far for the first stop, an excellent restaurant and bar right across the street! Everything else is a fun bike ride away, or cruise a golf cart all around town (everyone is driving one and George has great suggestions for rentals). Speaking of the great owner, George – he and his team at Villa Natalia do a tremendous job making sure everything you need is taken care of. George gives out plenty of information on all kinds of topics, from eats and treats, transportation, even helpful hints to enjoy the island to the fullest. The staff onsite are beyond helpful and will answer any questions you have. They will even grab you some fresh coconuts from the beach if they are ripe! Overall if you are looking for a vacation full of fun and relaxation, at a home that is cozy, relaxing, gorgeous and extremely accommodating, look no further the Villa Natalia. The definition of perfection!

11/27/2016 - This Bear and her husband had the pleasure of staying at the Painted Buffalo home in lovely Fredericksburg, TX for Thanksgiving weekend. Fredericksburg is just 90 minutes from Austin and is known for its many unique shops and restaurants. It is a quaint area with a small town atmosphere, near dozens of incredible Texas wineries. It’s the perfect place for a weekend away. The Painted Buffalo definitely caters to girl’s getaways, but my husband also enjoyed all of the small touches that the owners, Stephanie and Kevin, put into this newly remodeled home. Everything has been thought of! We were greeted by a large chalkboard sign welcoming us which included personalized notes and instructions. We made good use of the basket of soft, warm blankets as we cuddled up on the couch, enjoyed the fully-stocked kitchen for cooking quick meals, and enjoyed the comfy beds with quality linens. The home is located on a quiet, tree-lined street, close enough to Main Street for a nice walk or just a couple minutes’ drive. We explored Enchanted Rock for hiking, as it was just 15 minutes away. We ate delicious meals at Fredericksburg Herb Farm, the Old German Bakery, and Hill Top Café. We also did our Christmas shopping, then enjoyed some great music at Hondo’s and Luckenbach. It was a great weekend! We returned home well rested, and thankful for the experience of Fredericksburg. If you are looking for a wonderful retreat in a beautiful town, I wholeheartedly recommend the Painted Buffalo!

11/26/2016 - This penthouse apartment is absolutely the very BEST place to stay when visiting Paris, The City of Love. Words cannot properly express how much charm and convenience this flat possesses. From the amazing terrace-views of Notre Dame to the undeniable character of the décor, this apartment has it all! It is quite amazing to have such modern conveniences, including an elevator in a building dating back to 1692! The VRBO Bear felt comfortably at home with the updated bathroom complete with a standup shower, which was a dream come true! Large Samsung television with many channels, Bose Wave Speaker with iPod, High speed Wi-Fi all make for such a pleasant, modern environment you almost never want to leave the apartment. In addition to the modern updates and old world charm, the apartment is well appointed with comfortable bedding, complete kitchen, air conditioning and heating, washer/dryer, etc.. You will want for nothing during your stay. As you move outside, you’ll see the location is its greatest attribute. Nestled in the heart of Ile Saint Louis, this apartment is in the absolute center of it all. Literally steps from your front door you have bakeries, chocolatiers, local restaurants and cafes, a super market, a pharmacy, and local shopping. The best part is the Ile has a complete local feel, with hardly any signs of conventional tourism. If you want to feel and live like a Parisian, this is your place! Combine all of the above with major attractions (Notre Dame, Louvre, etc.) and public transportation (Metro, RER, bus) all being short walks away, this location is as good as it gets! If you are planning a trip to beautiful Paris, stop your search now and contact the lovely Yasmine! She is an amazing owner and an extremely accommodating host. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home. Her five-star reviews are very well deserved. Book this apartment and you will not regret your decision! Auvior!

This quiet, comfortable French Quarter condo has everything you could want.

11/23/2016 - This beautifully decorated one bedroom condo made our trip to New Orleans unforgettable. The location is unbeatable; being it’s on the quiet end of the French Quarter with easy access to Bourbon Street and Frenchmen Street in the heart of New Orleans entertainment district. It was perfect for 2 adults on a romantic getaway. It is quite spacious has all the luxurious comforts of home. We especially loved having coffee on the balcony overlooking the courtyard - it was a real treat. Tara, the Property Manager was super-helpful and very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! “Fleur-de-lis” has everything you need for a quiet night in or a weekend out in the French Quarter. We had a fantastic trip!

11/21/2016 - I have to say, that being the VRBO bear has been a great life so far. I thank my lucky bear stars every day that I get to do what I do. This last trip up to the Bitterroot Valley, was really one for my bear record books! This Luxury Log Home with majestic views was one of the best homes I’ve ever stayed in. You know, being the VRBO bear isn’t always fun and games…It really takes a lot out of me. This time of year most bears start to feast and get ready to hibernate, but not me. It’s always go, go, go! It was really time for me to take a break both physically and mentally, and this log home really delivered! Ridlon and Carin, the owners of this home, have totally decked it out figuratively and quite literally. I spent most evenings in the hot tub, listening to soothing music pumped through the outdoor speakers, while sipping some beary tasty drinks. When I wasn’t enjoying the snow falling on me in the hot tub or staring at the stars above, I was in the house on what might be the most comfortable furniture I’ve ever rested my paws on. I loved just relaxing and listening to the sounds of the pinon wood popping in the fireplace. I know most bears like to forage in the woods for their food but I’m different. I enjoyed going to the recommended restaurants (yes VRBO bears are allowed) and to the grocery stores where I stocked up on food to cook in the luxurious, well-appointed gourmet kitchen. This house really had it all, and I could tell how much the owners care for the place. The owners are world travelers and have decorated the house with art from all over the globe. There is also a fantastic library, sure to impress bookworms from all walks of life. Overall, this was just what I needed. Peace, tranquility, solitude and a touch of adventure. Do yourself a favor and book this property. A magical and harmonious experience awaits you in the extraordinary Bitterroot Valley.

11/19/2016 - While this was our second visit to Cabo, it was our first time at Villa La Estancia and it exceeded expectations in every way. What a perfect trip and gorgeous Villa! This villa was luxurious, had AMAZING views of the ocean, Lands End and the pool. It included all of the comforts of home (washer/dryer, wifi, kitchen appliances, utensils, etc.), AND was within close proximity to dining and shops (10-15 minute walk or a quick 5-minute taxi/water taxi ride)! The terrace was the perfect place to sip coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and soak in the sights, while enjoying the cool ocean breezes. Working with Kevin was perfection. He provided us with all necessary information about the property/villa plus recommendations for transportation and places to eat. We took many of his dining recommendations and they certainly did not disappoint. I could go on and on about the food! Thank you, Kevin, for opening up your Villa to us. We highly recommend this villa to anyone traveling to Cabo and hope to be back soon ourselves!

This wonderful condo is just steps away from Seven Seas Beach in Puerto Rico.

11/16/2016 - I stayed at this wonderful condo on the eastern side of Puerto Rico with four of my closest friends and it was awesome. Our vacation was the best mix of relaxation and adventure. The owner, Jose, was in contact with us as soon as we booked our stay to make sure we had all the travel information we needed (nearby grocery stores, what kind of car to rent, etc.). When we arrived, the property manager, Anthony, was there to greet us and show us around. The condo itself is amazing (one of the nicest my human friends have stayed in) and steps away from Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo. The layout was very open and beautifully decorated with a beach theme. The king-size bed in the master was like sleeping on a cloud. There was no better way to start your morning than watching the sunrise from the beautiful rooftop terrace. Everything we needed was provided and we made breakfast every morning in the well-stocked kitchen before exploring. We relaxed at the nearby Playa Colora and Playa Escondida and spent a couple of days in the El Yunque Rainforest (a 30 minute drive) and old San Juan (Bacardi Distillery and Bioluminescent Bay Lagoon). We happened to be there during the November Supermoon, which we enjoyed from the beautiful rooftop terrace. I would bring my friends back here in a heartbeat!

Pike View Lodge is 5 stars all the way. You won't find a better place to stay.

11/14/2016 - The Pike View Lodge is not the first cabin my family and I have stayed in near Woodland Park, but after spending this past weekend there, it would be hard to convince us to stay anywhere else. The view was stunning and the cabin itself is gorgeous and provides the perfect combination of seclusion and quiet mixed with easy access to town and nearby attractions. Once on the property, it's easy to forget that Woodland Park is only about a 10 minute drive away. You feel immersed in nature and the quietness is remarkable. Pike View Lodge is an excellent place for a family reunion or other large group event, as there is easily room for 20+ people. We had every imaginable amenity and one could easily spend an entire vacation happily inside the cabin. Every single bed was comfortable, the entire cabin was very clean and inviting, and the view - you just have to see it for yourself. Jerry, the owner, made it very clear that our comfort was his priority and provided exceptional service in every way. By the end of our trip, I was ready to move in, but I'll have to settle for dreaming of this place until next time. I definitely give this home a 5-star rating. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful and peaceful retreat after a fun filled day in Hawaii.

11/06/2016 - Aloha from the VRBO Bear! This beautiful, peaceful villa is truly a zen retreat! Nothing is more relaxing than this gem vacation rental in the surfer town of Haleiwa, Hawaii. The location in Haleiwa was the perfect escape from downtown Honolulu and city life. Plenty of things to do near the rental that any local/tourist can entertain themselves with besides the famous Hawaii North Shore beaches! Enjoy some delicious local foods like butter garlic shrimp in the nearby food truck and cool off on some famous Matsumoto shave ice or a fresh acai bowl at Haleiwa Bowl. After an all day trip to the beach and snorkeling equipment provided by this vacation rental, coming back to a “home” with fresh towels and a hot shower was simply the best! The fully stocked kitchen is perfect for any meal and the gorgeous bathrooms, including a unique rain shower tub in the master, resonate calm island living. The bungalow style home is surrounded by beautiful landscape and garden, including fruit trees, a friendly zen cat, and a welcoming Balinese teak wood front door. Look forward to coming back and recommending it to all my friends this amazing property. Mahalo!

11/06/2016 - Le Petite Jean d’Arc is a special place that boasts luxury and charm throughout. I loved my stay here, and Ted, the owner, was most accommodating. It was our first trip to California and he had the best recommendations from nearby hiking, to restaurants we could literally walk to in 3 minutes. If you’re looking for a serene getaway in the hottest location, look no further. The lush garden makes for a beautiful and relaxing environment. Fresh flowers are arranged throughout the home as well. On our first night, we enjoyed dining in and sipping wine by the fireplace. There are some high-tech features in this home that are surprisingly easy to use. The fireplace that turns on with the click of a button, the touch screen steam shower controls, and the awesome Bluetooth speakers….I could go on. You’ll have a five star experience in a unique space that is all your own. What really makes this property stand out is how secluded it is in the heart of Hollywood. You can be out sight-seeing and go home to a quiet retreat, which is really something special. We will definitely want to visit again!

11/04/2016 - The VRBO Bear and family had a wonderful time staying at this luxurious apartment in the French Quarter. From the moment we opened the doors, we were impressed with the décor and layout. The home was clean and well appointed. There were comfortable nooks available as well as a cozy couch for us to cuddle up on. Personally, I fell in love with the I-Comfort cool gel mattress and am requesting one for my home. We loved having the opportunity to relax in the interior courtyard and being able to people watch from the apartment. It was such fun to see people coming and going along Bourbon Street, especially dressed up for Halloween. I even saw another bear! The apartment is centrally located in Vieux Carré so we did not need a car. We were within walking distance to the Ntchez, Cemetery 1 and Bourbon Street amongst other locations of interest. The very best memory of the trip was being able to walk to Café du Monde every morning for beignets and a café au lait and then taking a walk in the park along the Mississippi River. The French Quarter is amazing and full of small architectural details in the historic buildings. There was so much to see and do, we cannot wait to come back to this apartment and experience more that New Orleans has to offer.

11/02/2016 - The VRBO Bear and his family of six had a fantastic trip staying in this spacious townhome in Paradise Palms Resort. The moment we walked through the door, we knew this was going to be a great ‘home away from home’ for the next week. This beautiful 5 bedroom, 4-bathroom townhome was well decorated and extremely spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was nice to cook breakfast each morning before heading out for adventures at Disney World. Each cozy bedroom had a flat-screen TV, which was nice for watching Disney movies at the end of a long day. The location was ideal being it is only minutes away from Disney World. It was nice not to waste precious time driving. The resort itself was quiet and clean and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed sitting out by the pool overlooking a lovely pond – it was very relaxing. Overall, we loved our stay at this lovely property and are ready to go back and stay there again soon!

10/27/2016 - The VRBO bear had a wonderful stay in Vancouver. This beautiful Kitsilano home was perfect for our party of five. We loved the open floorplan, with a cozy living area where we gathered to sip wine and converse by the lovely fireplace. It was just right for hanging out. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Our hosts have created a comfortable, fresh, and clean environment where we slept well on memory foam mattresses and quality linens. We experienced the gentle cool breezes from the Pacific and a sweet birdsong each morning to wake us. The location couldn’t have been better, situated in a quiet neighborhood - great for morning walks and close to a variety of restaurants within walking distance. There are many bus lines, making it easy for us to get around the area, including the airport. Our adventures took us from Capilano Bridge Park to Granville Island, which even included a day trip to Victoria, Vancouver Island. We so enjoyed our stay in Vancouver, and hope to return soon with family and friends!

10/15/2016 - Twenty-Three Palms was the perfect oasis for the VRBO bear and family to unwind and celebrate some milestone birthdays. The moment you arrive you are greeted by many lovely palm trees amid the tropical landscaped yard. The home is beautifully decorated with unique decor throughout and fabulous views. There are games and books for the kids, as well as games that adults could enjoy. We spent many evenings around the dining table playing games, having some laughs and making some memories that will last a lifetime. One of our favorite things to do was to sit out on one of the many porches in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and in the evening with a cocktail to watch the sunset. We had all we needed to enjoy a fabulous vacation, including extra linens, beach towels and oscillating fans. You won’t need to bring much from home, so save that luggage space for other stuff. The owners were a delight to work with and provided some great recommendations for activities and local dining and shopping. The VRBO bear and family can’t wait to come back and celebrate other joyous occasions and we highly recommend you do the same!

10/08/2016 - Vacationing at this Orlando Theme House in the beautiful Reunion Resort was an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. We were first impressed by how impeccable clean this lovely home was when we arrived. In addition, the owner was very hospitable throughout our stay and provided all the necessities needed for a great vacation. Within this luxurious home, every room transports you and your imagination into a unique fantasy world. The photos in this listing are fabulous but wait until you see it in person! The vintage Moonlite Theatre was a favorite room to watch movies, and even has popcorn decorated bowls to add to the ambiance! There is also a large flat screen TV with Blue Ray player in each room, a perfect way to unwind before falling asleep. This bear and all her friends and family took advantage of everything this home has to offer. The location is perfectly situated within the Reunion Resort community including a private pool and hot tub amid beautiful views. There are board games for kids and books should you need some downtime to relax. If you want to feel like a superstar, this lovely house is the place to be. This was the best vacation I have ever had in my life!!!

10/06/2016 - Our stay at the Getg Inn was just what the bear and I needed! Our trip included running in the Wineglass Marathon in Corning and then resting and relaxing afterwards. Of course, this included wine tasting at many nearby local wineries surrounding Seneca Lake. This cozy home is perfectly located right on the lake as well and the views were amazing. It was extremely clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked dinner and enjoyed dining in most of the time and our evenings were spent looking out at the lovely lake. The bedrooms were well-appointed with plenty of extra blankets, pillows and sheets. Our early mornings included views of the gorgeous sunrise while drinking coffee and planning our day of wine tasting. There are many wineries close by and about half a mile apart all around the lake. We also found a local brewery “Climbing Bines” just up the road and a grocery store nearby where there were plenty of vegan options. Everyone we met was super friendly! We did a little kayaking with the kayaks available with the rental and took a little hike on the gorge in the nearby Watkins Glen State Park. The owners, Jim and Susan were hospitable and quick to respond. It was obvious that they care about their property very much. I would recommend this property to anyone!

10/06/2016 - The VRBO bear vacationed in the luxurious Marmaduke Hamilton Estate, which is ideally located in the heart of the Savannah Historic district. Our carriage house suite was beautifully decorated and perfectly suited for a couple of any age group. The bed was comfortable and the space is very well utilized. All appliances and furniture is modern and contemporary. If you’re into food, art, architecture, and history as much as I am, there is arguably no better place in the United States you can stay! Most of our adventures were within walking distance and there is a trolley stop within a few blocks walk as well, so there is no need for a car. However, if you’d like to venture down the road to Tybee Island or outside of town to any of the beautiful historic landmarks such as the Wormsloe Plantation or Fort Pulaski a rental car is preferred. The property owner and property manager were both extremely nice and happy do anything to ensure we had a lovely stay, which we absolutely did and will certainly be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

10/06/2016 - Porto Playa was exactly as it was stated on the listing. The beach is one block south and the buzzing 5th Avenue is one block north, making this an ideal location since it is so close to everything. We were surrounded by tropical beauty as soon as we entered the condo hotel. Laura, the owner was helpful through the whole process and the front desk staff was super accommodating during our stay. You have plenty of opportunities to relax, whether it is in the spacious condo, on the front patio overlooking the beautiful courtyard, pool side basking in the sun or at the Indigo Beach Club. Your options are endless. We found an abundance of options for a variety of restaurants nearby. Two of our favorites were La Brocherie, the quiet French restaurant off the Avenue and La Casota on the Avenue, where we found fish that was the best we have ever had. Porto Playa has everything you need and will exceed all your expectations.

09/21/2016 - This two-story luxurious vacation home is perfectly located a block from the center of the famous Duval Street in downtown Key West. There is a market nearby and a grocery store a short drive away for stocking the kitchen. For bears who aren’t interested in cooking, there are many local restaurants nearby. I highly suggest Deuce's Off the Hook (reservations recommended). Although this vacation home is conveniently close to the 'action', it is surprisingly quiet. The overall feel is one of comfortable luxury, with unique wood, exotic tiles and rich marble. Parking is available in the private driveway. The entrance has a private courtyard and the landscaped backyard has a swimming pool/hot tub, picnic table and a Big Green Egg grill. The well-equipped kitchen includes high end appliances. The dining area sits seven comfortably and opens into the modern style living area with a unique entertainment system. The master bedroom has a private sundeck (with outside shower) and a decadent bathroom (this bear’s favorite feature) beautifully tiled floor to ceiling with a large, glass enclosed walk-in shower containing SIX different nozzles that you can use one at a time or all at once. Sleep came easy on the king-sized bed with feather pillows and a down comforter (non-feather pillows and comforter available). The downstairs bedroom has direct access to the backyard pool and to the downstairs bathroom with white marble floors and walls and a glass enclosed walk in shower. The owner, Kim, is extraordinarily attentive and helpful. A helpful notebook containing local maps, information and recommendations is provided. This beautifully decorated, luxuriously appointed and thoughtfully hosted guesthouse is the nicest place that I have ever stayed in while traveling. We highly recommended staying here while vacationing in Key West.

09/10/2016 - Vacationing at the luxurious Coral Loft is the exact recommendation this bear makes when visiting the Grand Caymans. The location is perfectly positioned on the North side of the island and steps (literally) to the beach. The open floorplan has breathtaking views of the ocean from one of the many windows and patio. There was plenty of space for our group with a casual living area - ideal for relaxing and unwinding. We found games, books and a 55” HDTV, equipped with a sound bar – perfect for catching our favorite team playing a football game! Dinner was prepared in the beautiful kitchen with stainless appliances, including a spacious refrigerator and a great set of pots and pans. Retiring for the night in the cozy bedrooms with stunning views was relaxing after a day of adventure. The master bedroom features an incredible waterfall shower. We spent a lot of time on the private beach where the snorkeling was spectacular – such a variety of different fish swimming through the various vertical reefs (make sure to bring your water shoes)! Having an outdoor shower was nice to wash off sandy bear paws. If we weren’t on the beach, we were sunning in lounge chairs by the private pool. The owners have provided multiple bikes in the garage so you can take a ride down to Rum Point Beach and enjoy some authentic food and beverages or take advantage of additional water sports like paddle boards and jet skis. We found the people on the island to be super friendly wherever we went. If you chose to visit the Grand Caymans, contact the hospitable hosts Bonnie and Colin to schedule your best beach vacation experience ever.

09/07/2016 - The Ko Olina Beach Villa was the perfect place for a birthday getaway. When the bear and his friends arrived we knew we were about to have a week full of beach time, cocktails at the pool bar and soaking in our luxurious surroundings… what more can you ask for? The condo was stunning. Located on the sixth floor, it looked out over the west side of the island to views of the pristine private beach and lush mountains. We loved the open floor plan, with a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room and glass sliding doors that opened up onto the lanai, making the room feel as if it was outside. All three bedrooms were comfortable with high-end furniture and exquisite décor. It was well maintained and cleaned by a friendly staff. Located in the resort area of Ko Olina, we were on four private lagoons, had access to two pools and were in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. I couldn’t have a stronger recommendation, as this place is paradise. We simply cannot wait to go back.

09/05/2016 - The VRBO Bear and family enjoyed five nights in Florence at this bear-tiful historic apartment. Enrica, our host made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. The kitchenette was fully equipped for eating in and a living area cozy for unwinding after a busy day of being a tourist. The staircase leads to a lovely bedroom loft where you wake up every morning looking up at the beautiful ceiling from the 15th century. This apartment couldn’t be in a better location being tucked away where it is quiet at night and yet a very short walk to the train station. Just around the corner is the Palazzo Strozzi, a hub for high end shopping and great restaurants. The food here is magnificent – we found our favorite pastry shop just a block away. I couldn’t recommend this apartment more, it is perfect!

You will love the area attractions or just staying at home.

08/17/2016 - We enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful Coral Cay condo on the beach. Rich, the host, provided excellent communication and directions. The condo entrance is on the second story of the building. The spacious condo itself is two stories with a room on the main floor and two additional rooms on the second floor giving our four guests (plus the VRBO Bear) plenty of privacy. The kitchen, dining room and living room were spacious and well appointed. We used the kitchen every day and took advantage of the outdoor grill - preparing our own meals helped us save money on going out to eat. There was a porch off the living room with a view of the pool and in addition, the master bedroom upstairs had a balcony with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. Just down the hall was a room with two single beds, perfect for the little ones to hang out in. Our six year old daughter said she liked everything about staying at the condo! When she got tired from playing and swimming all day we turned on the TV which was equipped with cable and a DVD player. The lovely pool was close by and was very clean and the beach was only a short walking distance and it was amazing! The sand was so fine and the ocean so magnificent. There is an outdoor shower along the path to the beach where we could rinse off the sand before returning to the condo. We were provided with the use of boogie boards, sand castle builders, games, beach chairs and tennis racquets. The condo is perfectly located close to the main part of town where we found a variety of restaurants and shopping. This condo was a great choice for our end of summer family vacation. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

08/15/2016 - You will not find a more private getaway along the beautiful coast of Rincon. The front entrance of this gem leads you right into the open living room and kitchen. The master bedroom is roomy and includes plenty of closet space. This lovely condo has everything you would need to enjoy a beach vacation including snorkeling equipment, which comes in handy since we were just steps from the beach. There is a patio off the master bedroom leading to the tropical backyard (where we spent most of our time!). We loved the view from the immaculate yard full of plush canopy of trees, plants, and orchids. The location is very close to town and local boat rentals. Allison was a pleasure to work with, always accessible, and provided everything we needed! If you are looking for an ideal vacation with private beach access and great amenities, you will not want to miss out on staying in this lovely condo!

08/13/2016 - This beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach house was the perfect home base for our bear family vacation! Upon our arrival, Matt, the hospitable property manager offered us his recommendations for things to do and see in the area. The location of this property cannot be beat - it’s close to the airport, grocery store, restaurants and night life, but the house itself is tucked away on a very quiet private street. Most days, we’d travel to one of the incredible nearby beaches on crystal blue waters - our favorite one was less than a block away from our front door! The house came complete with a boogie board, beach chairs, umbrellas and plenty of towels, so we had everything we needed to enjoy some fun in the sun. At night, we would retreat back to the house and spend our evenings in our backyard pool, which felt more like our own private oasis. The tiki bar, lush foliage and pergola with flowing curtains instantly transported us to a tropical paradise. Bears have BIG appetites so the outdoor gas grill and gourmet kitchen (with gorgeous marble counter tops and high-end appliances) got lots of use during our stay. At meal time, we gathered around the large dinner table to celebrate our adventures. When it was time to hibernate for the night, we all enjoyed the opportunity to retire to our own bedrooms, each with their own TVs and memory foam mattresses to truly unwind. All in all, we were beary happy to have stayed in this home and can’t wait to go back!

08/12/2016 - This lovely Rosa Blanca condo is the place to be for vacationing in beautiful Playa del Carmen! As soon as I walked into this tropical paradise, I knew I was home. The condo is spacious with two bedrooms (the master includes an ensuite bath), and a cozy living room and dining room with seating for six. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals! The condo is situated on the third floor with a beautiful balcony overlooking the community pool. We enjoyed being close to the pool, as it was convenient for an early morning swim. We even enjoyed watching local wildlife from the pool. The location of this lovely condo is near everything! I could walk to the beach, shops, and even to the local Walmart to grab essentials. We were provided with beach towels, chairs, and even cozies. Make sure to stay here next time you’re in the Playa area. You won’t regret it!

08/10/2016 - The VRBO Bear and his family had a great time staying at Elk Meadow Cottage! The Cottage is in a very quiet part of a national forest, which was refreshing and relaxing. The four big bears and two cubs had plenty of room to spread out, including four bedrooms to choose from – each bedroom was unique and delightful. The kitchen was spacious which made preparing meals simple and the living room had enough sitting for all of the bears to gather together to watch TV at night. Elk Meadow Cottage served as a great base for the VRBO Bear and his family to spend their vacation enjoying all the glories of North Arizona!

What a wonderful and convenient place to stay when visiting Paris!

08/08/2016 - Visiting Paris was a dream come true and the VRBO bear and his bear friend were not disappointed with this magnificent apartment located in the heart of wonderful Marias! There were two quant bistros located just below the apartment making it very convenient for a night cap. The numerous windows allowed for a great breeze and people watching on the street below. The location could not have been better! It was an easy 5 minute walk to St. Paul subway station and the bus stop was right outside our door. After a full day of sightseeing it was refreshing only having to walk up one flight of stairs. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything these bears needed. David, the property manager was very friendly, helpful and gave great insight that made our stay comfortable and highly enjoyable! Shopping, restaurants, wine shops and transportation were conveniently located nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this charming and lovely apartment next time you are in Paris!

08/08/2016 - “Simply the Best, Villa”is located on the tropical lush island of North Caicos. Our goal was to have fun and be totally relaxed by the end of vacation – needless to say, our expectations were exceeded. This luxurious 5 bedroom and 6 ½ bathroom, 8000 square foot villa has everything, including breathtaking views. By the second day of the trip, we were already on Island time and had no clue what day of the week it was. The best part of this amazing villa was the world class private beach amidst lush tropical gardens. We enjoyed the beautiful, warm, crystal clear water and caught an occasional sailboat drifting by as we submersed ourselves into relaxation. Allison and Regine were hospitable and helpful. We opted to put in a grocery order prior to arrival (which we highly recommend for a small fee) and we arrived to the refrigerator, pantry, and a bar fully stocked as requested, putting us straight into vacation mode. If you want to get away from it all and recharge your batteries, “Simply the Best, Villa” is the place to go.

This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time in Corpus Christi.

08/07/2016 - Village by the Beach was the perfect location for our summer getaway. The bear family couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, comfortable place to stay for the week. This two story townhouse is beautifully furnished and spacious which made it great for our bear family. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of extra blankets to snuggle up with. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need to make your favorite meals. We also enjoyed the barbeque grill on the porch. The living room has plenty of cozy seating with a large smart TV and Blu-ray player for hanging out and watching movies. We had a blast spending the day at the beach, located only a block away. The lovely resort style pool was conveniently located outside the front porch where our little cub loved splashing in the kiddie pool and playing under the rain curtain waterfall. We found that there was no better way to cap off a perfect day than by relaxing on the second floor balcony. The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

08/05/2016 - Our travels brought us to the beautiful Wailea Sunset Condo in Maui. The view from the main lanai is truly breathtaking, especially for the spectacular sunsets. The open floorplan of the kitchen and living area makes this condo truly a joy to spend time in, and while there is a full sound system and large screen TV with premium cable, we found ourselves spending most of your time enjoying the lovely view from pretty much anywhere in the condo. All dining and tableware was provided so we could easily cook all our meals with all of the necessary utensils. We were thankful for the generously sized electric grill on the main lanai, and grilled out a couple of nights while enjoying the stunning sunset views. The pool is a stone’s throw from the unit, and we strolled over a few evenings to enjoy cooling off before turning in for the night. The amenities are well documented and a full guide full of adventure and dining around Maui is provided. When we were out and about, we didn’t have to go far, since the condo is located minutes away from shopping and dining and stunning beaches. You can truly use this condo as your home base for exploring the entire island or just to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery and beaches. We have to thank and commend Tim for this exceptional property, his incredible attention to detail, his helpfulness and communication, and making our honeymoon the most enjoyable vacation. I highly, highly recommend staying at Tim and Carolyn’s.

08/02/2016 - Villa Ganesh was the perfect location for our bear retreat and ladies getaway. Nine bear friends stayed for a long weekend at this beautiful villa right next to the town of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The villa has seven bedrooms which allowed everyone to have their own space and privacy. We spent much of our time hanging around the villa and enjoying the backyard and pool. Laura, the villa owner, was very helpful and provided us with many recommendations for activities (catamaran sailing expedition), local services, and directed us to locations we could shop for groceries. She even organized our own personal chef one night – what a treat! Only a short taxi ride or walk from the town and the beach we were able to get out and enjoy the wonderful restaurants, shops and nightlife that Playa del Carmen has to offer. Our group of ladies will always have amazing memories from this incredible weekend in paradise!

08/01/2016 - August 2016 - The VRBO Bear and his family had a wonderful time staying in the Pineapple Cottage! The cottage is located in the heart of the lovely Seal Beach community, which is a quieter town than Long Beach to the north and Huntington Beach to the south. Pineapple Cottage is in a great location: a short 5-10 min walk to downtown Seal Beach, a short 15-20 minute drive to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, a 10 min drive to Huntington Beach. The cottage is well equipped all around. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary appliances, utensils, seasonings, coffee grinder/maker, & espresso maker), the bedrooms have plenty of linens, blankets & pillows to choose from, and the living spaces have several sitting areas to relax, read, and watch tv. We really enjoyed the cool mornings and evenings in the front porch and rooftop deck! Both are great places to start the day and/or unwind the day! The cottage is amazing, but I need/want to express how wonderful the owners Kye and Elena are welcoming you to their vacation rental. From our initial correspondence, during pre-stay questions, through the check-in process, and post-stay follow-up, Kye & Elena have been amazing. They really cherish their Pineapple Cottage and truly enjoy sharing it with their guests!

07/30/2016 - Our Bear family spent a week of summer vacation in this beautiful Vail condo – the perfect retreat for our Bear family. We enjoyed the comfortable open living space and a very accommodating kitchen, making it convenient for cooking meals and enjoying each others' company. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has two beds and a trundle, a major plus for our three cubs. The third full bathroom was especially nice for our family of five, and was also very convenient when we had guests. We appreciated many other family-friendly features, including toys for the cubs and a DVD player. One of the unique features of this condo is that it sits right on the beautiful Gore Creek, just steps from the back deck where we relaxed as we enjoyed the sounds of the creek and the gorgeous view - it is one of the most peaceful locations we’ve experienced while on vacation! The kids never tired of tubing in the creek (Tip: make sure to bring water shoes in the summertime!) The condo is situated in an ideal location in Vail Village, within a short walking distance to the best restaurants, shopping and parks. The owner was a pleasure ensuring we had a great experience. This Bear family had a truly memorable vacation in this exceptional condo and we thank the owners for an amazing experience! We hope to come back!

07/28/2016 - The VRBO Bear arrived at this magnificent vacation home and found it be a place filled with peace, natural beauty and luxurious comforts. The breezy lanai of this property overlooks an immaculately kept lawn and golf fairway, but the expansive view of the Pacific sunset and Kohala Coast steals the show. Each evening brought an impressive sunset, which we viewed from the large wraparound porch, accessible from 4 different doors (including one from the master bedroom). This beautiful home is meticulously maintained, with stylish accent wall colors, high-quality casual furniture, luxurious bathrooms, charming art, and an abundance of fans. We found many conveniences such as: labels on the light switches, USB chargers, detergents and bathroom supplies, extra linens and pillows and even extra beach towels. While dining in, we enjoyed using the well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill and the owner provided restaurant recommendations for dining out. We parked our car in the garage in the courtyard where it remained comfortably cool and easily accessible. The garage also contained some handy beach gear. Needless to say, we did not want to leave! The VRBO Bear insists we return to this vacation home in short order, and we're happy to oblige him.

07/25/2016 - Chalet du Soleil is a cozy mountain retreat in the charming Lionshead Village of Vail. With a gorgeous view of the Gore Range Mountains and prime proximity to the gondolas and the village, whether you’ve come for a weekend hibernation or to shred some slopes with the clan, the Chalet promises to serve up to your needs. The painstaking care shows in the details, like a fully-stocked kitchen, complete with a fridge and pantry full of the basics, and all the accoutrements needed to whip up your own homemade meals. And let’s not forget the adorable customized toiletries in every bathroom. The cubs were delighted to find a game cupboard full of puzzles and board games, as well as a cabinet full of novels, all of which (in addition to the in-suite Jacuzzi!) offer a relaxing alternative to any of the more wild outdoor adventures. But where’s the fun without a little adventure? With three floors, and sleeping 10+, feel free bring the whole gang along on your mountain excursion! The house is a short walk from the gondolas and the heart of Lionshead, right off the “Born Free” ski run, perfect for tourists without transportation looking to have some fun. Location is excellent, the perfect launching point and home base for your Vail adventure, whether that be hiking, mountain-biking, skiing, etc.! Owners were kind and responsive, location was great, and the home was well-appointed. The Bear Family paws-itively adored their trip, and would certainly stay here again!

Although the area is beautiful, you may not want to leave this wonderful home.

07/23/2016 - Our group of eight bears consisting of family and friends had one of our best ever vacations at this beautiful Keystone Mountain home! We enjoyed being able to relax in this spacious home with gorgeous views. There is hot tub off the back deck and a hiking/biking trail just a stone’s throw from the back door. Having two separate living areas, each with a large screen television (lots of movies too) and comfy furniture gave both adults and cubs their own space to hang out. The gourmet kitchen was super spacious and well stocked. We were impressed with having sharp knives to cook with! The bedrooms are spaced apart, providing a nice sense of privacy. The location is close to many amenities such as bike trails, horse stables, ski resorts with summer activities, and surrounding adorable towns like Lake Dillon and Frisco. Both have great restaurants and lots of shopping. We were torn between enjoying all there was to do and see and soaking in the luxury of our mountain home away from home. Michele, the owner, was very friendly and helpful which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We can't wait to book our next stay here!
