Protesters descend on US airports rallying against Trump's immigration policies
Updated
President Donald Trump's announcement of a sweeping ban on people from seven Muslim-majority nations has prompted an outpouring of grief, shock and anger around the United States.
There were dramatic scenes at major airports where protests erupted as border agents detained refugees who landed after Mr Trump signed the executive order.
Families anxiously awaited to learn the fate of their loved ones, while the sea of hundreds swelled outside the terminals, chanting "let them in" and "this is what America looks like".
Rallies are scheduled to continue for at least the next 24 hours.
