Skoda has wheeled-out a mid-life update for its best-selling Octavia range with overseas deliveries set to begin early next year, with an expected mid-2017 arrival for Australia.
Headlining the changes is revised styling for both the front and rear with the most obvious changes occuring at the front-end which picks-up full-LED headlights arranges in a new split-headlight arrangement as part of a sharper, more aerodynamic look.
At the rear, both the Octavia liftback and the wagon recieve new tail lights along with subtle revisions to the rear bumper. Several new allow wheel designs also join the range
While Australian specifications have not been finalised, in Europe the all-new Skoda Octavia gains new touchscreen infotainment systems with the range-topping model highlighted by a large 9.2-inch screen.
On the technology front, Predictive Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Traffic Alert have been added.
And an interesting addition to the trailer assistant set-up where low-speed steering assistance is provided when reversing.
Also new are a customizable key which can store vehicle settings from multiple operators, a heated steering wheel and folding tables on the rear of the front seats.
No changes for the drivetrain and Skoda Australia is expected to stick with the current all-turbocharged petrol and diesel lineup.
