Andratx (ausgesprochen: Andratsch; kastilisch Andraitx oder Andrach) ist eine Gemeinde im westlichen Teil der Baleareninsel Mallorca. Sie hat eine Fläche von 81,5 km² und 10.748 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Januar 2013). Das entspricht einer Bevölkerungsdichte von 132 Personen pro km².
Die Bevölkerung konzentriert sich im gleichnamigen Hauptort abseits der Küste und im Hafenort Port d'Andratx. Acht Berggipfel sind hier zu finden, mit einer Höhe von 319 m (Talaia des Cap des Llamp) bis zu 927 m (Moleta de s'Esclop).

Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal) followed up his Friday win at the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana with another victory Saturday at the Trofeo Andratx – Mirador des Colomer on the third day of racing at the Challenge Mallorca.
The 25-year-old Belgian powered up the day's final climb ahead of Movistar's Alejandro Valverde. Tiesj Benoot rounded out the podium in third place, giving Lotto Soudal yet another podium finisher in a highly successful Challenge Mallorca campaign that also saw André Greipel sprint to victory at the Trofeo Porreres.
"It's wonderful to beat Valverde on such a finish," Wellens said. "In the sprint he would have been faster. I find this second win even more beautiful than the one of yesterday because there was more tension. I won’t race tomorrow, but I might go and cheer for the boys to conquer that fourth victory!"
Cyril Lemoine (Cofidis), Brian van Goethem (Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij), Laurent Pichon (Fortuneo - Vital Concept), Pello Olaberría (Euskadi Basque Country - Murias), Diego Milán (Inteja Dominican Cycling Team), Rafael Márquez (Inteja Dominican Cycling Team), Josep Miralles (Amore & Vita-Selle SMP), Jorge Cubero (Burgos-BH), Pedro Gregori (Equipo Bolivia), Sebastián Mora (Spain) and Gabriel Cullaigh (Great Britain) jumped clear to form the early breakaway in the first few minutes of the 158.7-km race. The escapees worked up to an advantage of around five minutes but a hard-charging peloton tightened the leash before long.
The break shed several riders attempting to stay away, but the move was ultimately reeled in with more than 50km still left to race.
Gazprom-Rusvelo's Sergey Firsanov tried his luck next but couldn't hold on out front. Then it was Sky's Christian Knees and Jonathan Dibben making a move. The duo managed to open up a sizable advantage at first, but as the bunch got organized in pursuit, the gap dwindled. The peloton caught Knees and Dibben with 5km to go, setting up a battle on the Mirador des Colomer finishing climb.
Wellens hit the front early and continued to put the power down all the way up the ascent. He surged round the final corner a few bike lengths ahead of Valverde and held on to take his second win in as many days.
A more sprinter-friendly Trofeo Playa de Palma closes out the Challenge Mallorca on Sunday.

Dieser Flug über Mallorca beginnt am Flugplatz Binissalem und führt über Consell, Santa Maria del Cami, Marratxi, Palma de Mallorca, das Castell de Bellver, Cala Major, Portals Nous, Calvia, Es Capdella sowie Andratx und Port d'Andratx. In Port d'Andratx, einem der nordwestlichsten Orte auf Mallorca, wird der Rückflug entlang der wunderschönen Küste eingeleitet. So sind die Orte Camp de Mar, Cala Fornells, Peguera, Costa de la Calma, Santa Ponsa, Port Adriano, El Toro, Illa del Toro, Cala Rafeubetx, Cap de Cala Figuera, Cala en Sopa, Cala Figuera, Punta des Cavall, Cala des Bocs, Portals Vells, Cala Xada, Sol de Mallorca, Ses Portadores, Cala en Conill, Cala Vinyes, Badia de Palma, Magaluf, Punta Prima, Torrenova, Son Matias, Palmanova, Son Caliu und Punta Negra zu sehen. Von dort geht es über Portals Nous, Bendinat, Illetes, Sant Agusti, Cala Major, Portopi und El Terreno zurück in die Inselmitte bis nach Binissalem. Wahrscheinlich wäre das Filmmaterial einer Drohne weniger verwackelt, doch Pennula hatte die kleine Kamera vom Typ Xiaomi Yi 4K spontan an der linken Tragfläche am Flugzeug befestigt. Man hätte die Kamera eventuell im Schwerpunkt des Flugzeugs, also beispielsweise im Bereich des Fahrwerks montieren sollen, um Schwankungen durch Höhenwinde und Thermik auszugleichen. Andratx
Andratx (Catalan pronunciation: [ənˈdɾatʃ]) is a municipality on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, along the Mediterranean east coast of Spain. It is located on the southwest tip of the island.
History
The town of Andratx is ancient and until recently was mainly inhabited by local Majorcan people. The area was occupied by the Romans, who called the town Andrachium, in the 2nd century BC and pottery and coins found there give evidence of this. The town was built inland from the coast as a precaution against the constant threat of raids from Barbary pirates. In the 16th century a system of observation towers was erected on the island as a means of protection against pirates. From 14 towers in the municipalities of Andratx and Calvià, 12 still exist. The municipality also includes the towns of Port d'Andratx, Sa Coma, S'Arracó, Sant Elm and Camp de Mar. It also includes the uninhabited islet Sa Dragonera.
The municipality has undergone a transformation since 2004, following the input of EU finance which has resulted in a facelift for the town and also brought in foreign investment.

Lotto–Soudal (UCI team code: LTS) is a Belgian professional cycling team sponsored by the Belgian lottery and Soudal, an adhesives manufacturer. The same organisations also sponsor a women's cycling team, Lotto Soudal Ladies.
Sponsorship
Lotto has a long history of cycling sponsorship, they began sponsoring 1984 with Tönissteiner-Lotto-Mavic-Pecotex. In 1985, it became prime sponsor of a team bearing only its name. Walter Godefroot and Patrick Lefevere were early directeur sportifs. The fusion of the Lotto-Adecco and Domo-Farm Frites teams for the start of the 2003 season created the current team and structure in the guise of Lotto-Domo.
Omega Pharma had previously been a co-sponsor of the Quick Step-Davitamon team in 2003 and 2004. Omega Pharma became the main sponsors in 2005, under their Davitamon brand name. The team name switched to Omega Pharma's Predictor brand name in 2007 and the Silence brand in 2008. From 2010 the team became known as Omega Pharma-Lotto, before moving to the Quick-Step setup for the 2012 season.

Andratx - Mirador de’s Colomer - 158,7 km
Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal) followed up his Friday win at the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana with another victory Saturday at the Trofeo Andratx – Mirador des Colomer on the third day of racing at the Challenge Mallorca.
The 25-year-old Belgian powered up the day's final climb ahead of Movistar's Alejandro Valverde. Tiesj Benoot rounded out the podium in third place, giving Lotto Soudal yet another podium finisher in a highly successful Challenge Mallorca campaign that also saw André Greipel sprint to victory at the Trofeo Porreres.
"It's wonderful to beat Valverde on such a finish," Wellens said. "In the sprint he would have been faster. I find this second win even more beautiful than the one of yesterday because there was more tension. I won’t race tomorrow, but I might go and cheer for the boys to conquer that fourth victory!"
Cyril Lemoine (Cofidis), Brian van Goethem (Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij), Laurent Pichon (Fortuneo - Vital Concept), Pello Olaberría (Euskadi Basque Country - Murias), Diego Milán (Inteja Dominican Cycling Team), Rafael Márquez (Inteja Dominican Cycling Team), Josep Miralles (Amore & Vita-Selle SMP), Jorge Cubero (Burgos-BH), Pedro Gregori (Equipo Bolivia), Sebastián Mora (Spain) and Gabriel Cullaigh (Great Britain) jumped clear to form the early breakaway in the first few minutes of the 158.7-km race. The escapees worked up to an advantage of around five minutes but a hard-charging peloton tightened the leash before long.
The break shed several riders attempting to stay away, but the move was ultimately reeled in with more than 50km still left to race.
Gazprom-Rusvelo's Sergey Firsanov tried his luck next but couldn't hold on out front. Then it was Sky's Christian Knees and Jonathan Dibben making a move. The duo managed to open up a sizable advantage at first, but as the bunch got organized in pursuit, the gap dwindled. The peloton caught Knees and Dibben with 5km to go, setting up a battle on the Mirador des Colomer finishing climb.
Wellens hit the front early and continued to put the power down all the way up the ascent. He surged round the final corner a few bike lengths ahead of Valverde and held on to take his second win in as many days.
A more sprinter-friendly Trofeo Playa de Palma closes out the Challenge Mallorca on Sunday.

So sind die Orte Camp de Mar, Cala Fornells, Peguera, Costa de la Calma, Santa Ponsa, Port Adriano, El Toro, Illa del Toro, Cala Rafeubetx, Cap de Cala Figuera, Cala en Sopa, Cala Figuera, Punta des Cavall, Cala des Bocs, Portals Vells, Cala Xada, Sol de Mallorca, Ses Portadores, Cala en Conill, Cala Vinyes, Badia de Palma, Magaluf, Punta Prima, Torrenova, Son Matias, Palmanova, Son Caliu und Punta Negra zu sehen. Mallorca has more than 70 beaches enjoyed by tourist from all around the world. From vast bays packed with tourist facilities to tiny rocky coves only accessible on foot or by boats, Mallorca can be as reliable as can be when it comes to beach affairs. Puerto de Andratx is especially pleasing because it is very exclusive and not known yet to the packaged holiday clients. This beach is in close proximity with the beaches of Camp de Mar and that of San Telm, which is sheltered by Dragoneraisland.
Puerto de Andratx is a popular but quiet resort situated on the southwest of Mallorca. It has a well known marina with a natural port and is a magnet for yacht and boat owners world wide.
Port Andratx is a former fishing village which in recent years has grown into a famous beautiful port of Mallorca in Spain. The fishing boats have been largely replaced by luxury yachts but don't be put off. Andraxt has a rich history and the Castle of Son Mas was defended against the invasion of pirates in 1578. One of its 3 defence towers is still standing. At present time Port Andratx is a lovely peaceful place to visit it.

Alcudia (Puerto Alcudia) is one the most popular resorts in Majorca located on the north east corner of Majorca in Spain. Alcudia is located about 59 km. from the capital city Palma de Mallorca.
Puerto Alcudia (Port d’Alcudia) is the port, beach, tourist and accommodation area of Alcudia town and it is located about 1,8 km. from the old town of Alcudia.
Alcudia, with its port area, has a population of ten thousand, which in summer swells to ten times that figure. A superb stretch of beach and good hotel facilities account for this growing summer influx.
Alcudia´s historic city centre
The centre of Alcudia still preserves the character of a historic town, having said that the name Alcudia derives from the former Muslim Al Kudi, and although the first settlements date back to the Pretalaiotic period (2.000 - 1200 BC) the city was founded in 1325 by King Jaume II on the site of the mentioned islamic farmstead. A highlight of its history was the prosperous ancient Roman city of Pol-lentia (123 BC), situated only a few metres from the old town, which is indeed worth a visit. Today´s city preserves the medieval street layout, define by its wll enclosure. The streets house numerous buildings of high architectual value are narrow ans irregular-a testimony of the city´s history.
The small alleys all over the old town is the best attraction of Alcudia. Most of them are peaceful and will give you great photo opportunities although some of them are very narrow and there will be always someone coming the other way :)
The most interesting among them was Carrer d’en Serra also part of the old Arab quarter

The old town of Alcudia used to have 3 different gates and hopefully you can still see 2 of them.
Coming from Palma we parked the car outside and walked inside the walled city through the main gate (puerta Principal). The massive towers gives you a picture of how this old town was anyway centuries before when during the 14th century when King Jaume II founded the new town of Alcucia.
Xara Gate(or Portal de Moll) is on the south side, probably a bit more photogenic as it is cut off from the walls with two palm trees in front of the gate. We saw this gate (the old harbour gate) in many postcards as it is some kind of symbol for Alcudia.
There is a market in front of Xara gate (at plaza Carlos V) on Tuesday and Sunday mornings (9.00am to 15.00) although during summer months it may also go inside the city walls too. The main part of the market is focusing on products by local farmers but also plenty of shoes, clothing, handbags and souvenirs.
You can walk around the city walls and actually see parts of the wall along the way as the can be followed on the inside along ronda muralla or outside.

Every Tuesday and Sunday morning there is a market. It is situated beside the city walls, but during the tourist season, it is also inside the walls, in some of the narrow streets. It starts about 9.00 am and carries on usually until 2.00 pm or even later.
You will find 2 sections, the main one dedicated to the local farmers where they sell their products.
The second section has plenty of stalls where they sell absolutely everything: shoes, bags, handbags, football shirts, souvernirs…
The things to buy on the market include locally produced fruit and vegetables, shoes, handbags, jewellery, clothing and souvenirs.

Wenn ihr der Küstenstraße weiter folgt, gelangt ihr zum „Torre des Verger“ oder „Mirador de Ses Animes, wie der Turm auch genannt wird. Er war Teil einer Befestigungsanlage und wurde 1569 als Wachturm errichtet, um Piraten rechtzeitig zu entdecken. Heute dient er als Aussichtsturm, von dem man das Meer aus einer Höhe von 250 Metern bewundern kann.
Das zauberhafte Bergdörfchen Banyalbufar ist unser nächster Zwischenstopp. Der arabische Name heißt wörtlich übersetzt „kleiner Weinberg am Hang“. Arabische Baumeister legten im 10. Jahrhundert für den Anbau von Malvasier-Wein, kunstvolle Terrassengärten an, die den Ort noch heute prägen. Wenn ihr die Treppen hinauf ins Oberdorf geht, habt ihr den besten Ausblick auf diese 2000 Gartenparzellen.
Ihr fahrt auf der MA10 weiter in Richtung Valldemossa. Links von euch eröffnen sich immer wieder Aussichten auf das azurblaue Meer. Mit offenen Fenstern könnt ihr den Duft der Aleppo-Kiefern genießen. Geradeaus habt ihr einen grandiosen Blick auf die Tramuntana-Gebirgskette. Rechts seht ihr knorrige Olivenbäume. Ein Großteil auf der Insel ist 300-500 Jahre alt. Kurz vor Valldemossa geht die MA10 links ab. Ihr fahrt weiter geradeaus in den Ortskern hinein.
Am Ortseingang links findet ihr zahlreiche Parkplätze. In den vielen hübschen Straßencafés könnt ihr Valldemossas Spezialitäten „Horchata“, eine Mandelmilch, und „Coca de Patata“, süße Milchbrötchen mit Kartoffeln, probieren. Jedes Jahr am 28 Juli feiert Valldemossa die einzige Inselheilige „Santa Catalina Tomás“, geboren im Ort. Fast jedes Haus ist mit einer kunstvoll bemalten Fliese geschmückt, die eine Szene aus ihrem Leben darstellt. International bekannt wurde Valldemossa dank zweier berühmter Gäste. Der polnische Komponist Frédéric Chopin verbrachte den Winter 1838/39 zusammen mit seiner Geliebten Georges Sand im ehemaligen Kartäuser-Kloster. Die französische Schriftstellerin schrieb über diese drei Monate das Buch „Ein Winter auf Mallorca“. Unser Tipp für alle, die nach der Ortsbesichtigung gut essen gehen möchten: das Restaurant „Can Pedro“ mit typisch mallorquinischer Küche.

heute freuen wir uns auf eine ganz besonders idyllische Mietwagen-Route, die uns von Andratx bis nach Valldemossa führt.
Los geht’s in Andratx. Hinter mir seht ihr den prächtigen Landsitz „Son Mas“. Sein Ursprung liegt im Mittelalter. In dem Gebäude residieren heute das Rathaus, die Touristinformation und die Polizei. Auf dem Grundstück selbst findet ihr einen Garten mit artenreichen Pflanzen und eine Terrasse. Hier könnt ihr einen wunderschönen Panoramablick über ganz Andratx genießen.
Zwischen den Häusern von Andratx ragt die Pfarrkirche „Santa Maria“ hervor, die im 13. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde.
