Armed by Design / El Diseño a las Armas

In September, Interference Archive opened its exhibition Armed by Design / El Diseño a las Armas. As an accompaniment to the exhibition, they put together a collection of writing, which discusses the intersection of graphic design and political solidarity work in revolutionary Cuba through the lens of the graphic design production of OSPAAAL, the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

This publication is bi-lingual English/Spanish; an 88-page, perfect bound book with over 80 full color images of OSPAAAL posters, publications, and graphics. We have collected six original essays that give unique perspective on this work, alongside an interview with Jane Norling about her experience working with OSPAAAL as the only North American to produce a poster with them.
