Flood Warning for the Diamantina River

Flood Warning Number: 17

Moderate flood levels are slowly falling at Diamantina Lakes on the Diamantina
River.

Showers and storms are forecast for the Channel Country during the next few
days.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
At 8:00 am Sunday, the river level at Diamantina Lakes is above the height of
the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Rd Causeway (2.1 metres).

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Minor flood levels are expected to be slowly rising at Monkira.

Flood Safety Advice:
Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For flood emergency assistance contact
the SES on 132 500. For life threatening emergencies, call Triple Zero (000)
immediately.
