Minor Flood Warning for the Daly River

Issued at 8:57 am CST on Sunday 29 January 2017
Flood Warning Number: 2

Monsoonal conditions in the Top End have brought rainfall totals of 100-150mm
over many parts of the Daly River during the past week. Rainfall totals up to
15mm were recorded in parts of the lower Daly River to 0900 this morning.
Rivers are still rising in the lower Daly River in response to recent rainfall.

Lower Daly River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Lower Daly River.

The Daly River Police Station is currently at 11.89 metres and rising. The Daly
River Police Station may approach the minor flood level (12.60 m) Tuesday
morning.
