Kurdistan Freedom Falcons TAK claims Istanbul attacks on Turkish police (Turkey)

The statement by TAK said:

“The simultaneous action in Istanbul Vodafone Arena Stadium and Maçka was conducted by our Team Martyr Tirej at 22:30 on 10 December, 2016. Two comrades of ours bravely fell martyr as a result of this action which left some 100 police dead and hundreds of others wounded.” The statement noted that ID details of these TAK militants will be announced in the coming days.

TAK continued, stressing that: “The Turkish people are not a direct target of TAK. Our Team Martyr Tirej carried out this action with utmost attention.

However, no comfortable life should be expected in Turkey while the imprisonment of Leader Apo continues, the Turkish-AKP fascism tortures mothers, exposes the bodies of young girls and massacres children in Kurdistan on daily basis. The peoples of Turkey should say stop to this fascism because only the AKP fascism is responsible for this chaos.”

Istanbul: Sabiha Gökçen airport attacked with mortars by Kurdistan Freedom Falcons – TAK (Turkey)

On the 23rd December the militant group TAK – Kurdistan Freedom Falcons carried out a mortar attack against the second biggest international airport in Istanbul. The blast took place where airplanes were parked, wounding two cleaning staff on a nearby budget carrier Pegasus plane. Here is an extract from the claim of responsibility:

“Erdoğan and the AKP dictatorship is leading a war to wipe out people in Kurdistan alongside a coalition with ISIS as they force civilians to leave their cities by turning these places into uninhabitable locations. People are being forced to migrate and are being relocated. The Kurdish people are providing the biggest answer to the fascist attacks through their brave resistance.”

“This action has been done in response to the fascist attacks that have turned Kurdish cities into ruins. As a result of this action, five airplanes have been impacted severely while serious damage has occurred to the airport. AKP’s special media is trying to distort the results of the action consciously in an attempt to show the world that their airspace is safe. The attack which has been carried out with mortar shells is also the start of a new period of action. The Erdogan-AKP fascist dictatorship and their collaborators that has no place within moral norms of war will not live comfortably in their own cities from now.”

“From now onwards, we (TAK) will not be responsible for the safety of international airline companies that are to arrive in Turkey and foreign tourists that are not Turkish citizens. We as TAK will continue to give the necessary response to the immoral attacks against the Kurdish people that is being developed by the fascist Erdoğan-AKP dictatorship.”

Anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan resisted and won his fight again (Turkey)

Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar gained the victory from the determined
struggle which they put their lives against the state inside the thick
walls of prison which they are enclosed. Osman and Hasan, got what they
demanded through this hard period. Osman Evcan ended his indefinite
hunger strike which took 39 days against intimidation and extermination
politics against prisoners in prison and again he proved us that how he
is right about his call to raise struggle.

We celebrate Osman Evcan who has proved that the thick walls that are
built in order to revitalize the new “terrorist” wave that the Turkish
state needed and legitimize further operations cannot be an obstacle to
anarchists at all. The “punishment” system and their officials that made
comrade Osman Evcan suffer hunger for 39 days and tortured him are our
enemies. The recognized demands of Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar are not a
matter of grace, instead that is the end of torturous practices. Torture
is the state policy. We are grateful to everyone who have held
demonstrations, spoken up, and support for Osman Evcan’s cause. Osman
Evcan is now trying to get over the adverse effects of the hunger strike
process, and his present health condition is fine. We will share the
message from Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar soon.

Istanbul: Demo for Osman Evcan, vegan anarchist on hungerstrike (Turkey)

A demonstration took place in Taksim (Istanbul) to show solidarity with
vegan anarchist Osman Evcan who is on hunger strike for 37 days, and
with the political prisoner Hasan Çınar who is on hunger strike for 15
days. The demo continued by constant threats by the riot police and
ended by police attack after the public statement.

Public statement
Vegan anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan- who is resisting against authority
in prisons for 23 years- is demanding total freedom against the
ecological destruction and slaughter, hunger, poverty and war politics
that state, civilization and capitalism created.

Osman’s first hungerstrike was at 2011 to access vegan food in jail
which lasted 42 days. During his hungerstrike the anarchists, animal
liberationists all over the World and in Turkey supported Osman’s fight
to access vegan food in prison. After 42 days of hungerstrike the
government took a step back and made regulations for the vegan and
vegeterian prisoners in prison: ”Vegan or vegetarian prisoners demands
will be accepted as long as its limited by subsistence allowance”.

After his hunger strike for 33 days on June 2015 he took vegan food
supplies one step further and he gained the right to get vegan food from

Osman Evcan is on hunger strike for 35 days – Hasan Çınar is on hunger strike for 10 days (Turkey)

Osman Evcan continues his indefinite hunger strike to protest Kocaeli no.
1 F Type prison and other prisons of oppressive, authoritarian, retributive,
unjust practices. He is on hunger strike since 10th November 2015. Also
Osman Evcan’s cellmate Hasan Çınar started an indefinite hunger strike 10
days ago to support Osman. He is suffering from stomach cancer. Due to
his health condition this hunger strike might be really dangerous for
him in a really short time period.

We got the information that Osman Evcan’s health condition is good for
now and he continues his hunger strike with strength. He also told us in
his letter that the prison administration and prison prosecutor is
putting pressure on him by going into his cell, yelling at him with
threats so that he brings his hunger strike to an end. But he
underlines that he is determined to continue the hunger strike. Besides
that he says that he is thankful to everyone who is supporting him by
sending letters, by protests, by creating a public opinion. He sends

Osman Evcan on Hunger Strike: Anarchists and animal liberationists went to Kandıra F type prison (Turkey)

Anarchists and animal liberationists went to Kandıra F type prison, Osman Evcan is on hunger strike since 10th November with various demands. Also Osman Evcan’s cellmate Hasan Çınar started indefinite hunger strike 3 days ago to support Osman Evcan. On 5th December we went in front of Kandıra F Type Prison with our flags, banners, slogans, drums and torches to show solidarity with Vegan anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan. Our voices passed over the thick walls, and we brought hope to our comrade. Osman is refusing to eat with his own will, using his body, his only weapon to fight. He is resisting and becoming the justice himself. We screamed out loud for the animals, for the World and people,
for the freedom of the prisoners:

Fire to the prisons!
Demolish the prisons, freedom to prisoners!

We made this demo happen to show that we are not scared of the chains of the government capturing people, animals and earth. Our fight will continue against the systems will to include us to its decay.

Everyone who is fighting to abolish oppression is a freedom fighter. We will continue our struggle until the political isolation of Osman Evcan (who is supporting total freedom, and who is fighting against repression and torture for his anarchist ideals) are over. Prison systems are coffins built to control the majority, and to pacify masses for the minorities interest.

Istanbul: Anarchist space "infiAl" raided by anti-terror police after report by Islamic-fascist newspaper (Turkey)

There´s an anarchist place (infoshop,library,event space etc..) in Istanbul called “infiAl”. Islamist fascist Vahdet newspaper mobilized the police by publishing a report with the title “Anarchist are preparing themselves for civil war” and police raided infiAl. When they came the first time (with guns, armored police cars etc) people in the place managed to keep them away but in the following days they came more prepared with a search warrant. They also arrested the lawyer who had the right to be there. 3 comrades (including the lawyer) were taken to the anti-terror department of the police station. They are charging the anarchists to be a member of an armed terrorist group’ with the charge of insults and threats against President Erdogan and other parliamentarians as well.

The law says that the statements can be taken from the lawyer only by the Prosecutor. The other 2 comrades used the right to remain silent, that’s why also their statement must be taken by the prosecutor, which should be tomorrow. But they got released around 3am in the morning without the statements. On future dates they will be called to give their statements.

We are familiar with Turkish state repression on every opposition. Once again they proved that they can do whatever they want, creating evidence, charges, arresting lawyers etc..

Vatan Budak – 5th anarchist killed by the Suruç bombing (Turkey)

Vatan Budak who was wounded in Suruç bombing passed away.

We lost our comrade, Vatan Budak who was wounded in Suruç (Pirsus) bombing and in intensive care for 16 days. Vatan was the member of United Anarchist Attack.

He is the 5th anarchist comrade killed in Suruç blast.

His funeral took place today in Gaziosmanpaşa, İstanbul.

This neighbourhood is predominantly fascist and his family is one of the few Kurdish families living there. Because of great threat of violence and danger to his family flags and banners were somehow restricted. They were fully displayed only in the cemetery, where speeches were made bidding him last farewell. He was buried under black and red flag.

Different anarchist groups and individuals were present.

Instead of a minute of silence – a whole life in struggle!

One person was reported arrested on their way to the funeral, but we haven’t got more info.

Reports about the repression against Kurdish liberation activists, radical left, anti-authoritarians & anarchists (Turkey)

26 07 2015 – Today, about 70 anarchists from İstanbul, Ankara, Yalova and other
cities (Eskişehir Anarşi İnisiyatifi, Ankara Anarşi İnisiyatifi, İstanbul Anarşi İnisiyatifi ve Devrimci Anarşist Faaliyet), gathered in Eskişehir in a commemoration action for their comrades (Alper Sapan, Evrim Deniz Erol, Medali Barutçu) who were killed by suicide bomb in Suruç (Pirsus) last week. When anarchist gathered and started to march, police suddenly attack and arrested about 15 anarchists.

It was the action of Anarchy Initiative which made an international call for solidarity action against Turkish fascist government. Also other groups, autonoms and individuals joined the action in Eskişehir.

Anarchists who gathered in front of Migros (Adalar) and started to march were attacked by police. And about 15 anarchist arrested. Other activists dispersed to the streets and cafes. Then, fascist groups appeared in the streets to annoy the protestors. Some fascists applauded police who were arresting some anarchists. (more…)

Police detain 251 people in large scale police operation against radical left (Turkey)

24 07 2015 – Early morning today, police in whole of ‘Turkey’ conducted raids and had detained 251 people. In Istanbul only they have deployed 5000 policemen in coordiated action in districts of Bağcılar, Okmeydanı, Sultangazi, Küçükçekmece, Sarıyer, Gaziosmanpaşa, Kağıthane, Beyoğlu, Başakşehir, Eyüp. This was aimed mainly against DHKP-C, YDG-H members.

During this operation in Bağcılar disrict, Günay Özarslan (DHKP-C) was killed.

15 people were detained in Mardin, 7 PKK members in Izmir, 10 YDG-H members in Bursa, two others in Van.

In the prison for foreigners in Maltepe, the law has been abrogated.

British citizen, Stephan Shah Kaczynski is kept in Maltepe L Type Prison
No.3, which is well-known as a prison for foreigners for already 4
months now. To demand the end to the unlawful actions of the prison
authorities against him, he continues a hungerstrike for 12 days (note:
today 15.07.2015 the hunger strike already reached 21 days).

The prison authorities of the Maltepe L Type Prison No. 3 not only
ignore the demands of Shah Kaczynski, they continue to violate the law
with its actions.

During his 4 months in prison, the prison administration didn’t hand out
any newspapers, books and magazines to Shah Kaczynski. As Shah Kaczynski
made several requests and talked to the prison authorities without any

Today in Kadıkoy, we marched in solidarity with prisoners in Greek prisons, who are in hunger strike since 2nd of March and who turn to death fast. During march, we chanted slogans: “Destroy Prisons, Free the Prisoners”, “Wage Slavery System will end with anarchy”, “Greetings to the comrades who are fighting and fallen”, “Insurrection, Revolution, Anarchy”. This action was finished in a peaceful way, but if something come over our comrades, we’ll turn the streets to hell.

DAF: 'Revolutionary Anarchist Action' – Demo in memory of Berkin Elvan (Turkey)

Berkin Elvan was a 15-year-old Turkish boy who was hit in the head by a tear-gas canister fired by a police officer in Istanbul, while the boy was out to buy bread for his family during the June 2013 Gezi park protests in Turkey. He died on March 11, 2014. Widespread demonstrations erupted following Berkin’s death. Gezi park remains heavily monitored by secret police.

We received the following report from DAF of an action taken to commemorate Berkin. In the video you can see and hear small explosives and fireworks being used against the police and to create a rupture in the city. Here is the communique we received:

One year ago, murderous police killed our brother Berkin Elvan who was 15 years old. DAF was on the streets in the first year of his murder. We are not afraid of the murderers. We will keep on fighting. Murderous Police, Terrorist State will pay for these massacres.

On the first anniversary of the death of Berkin Elvan, the comrades from LAF (High School Anarchist Action) also opened a banner on the stairs of Gezi Park. On it was written the slogan “Berkin is here”. They poured red paint on the stairs to the Gezi Park, shouting “If the government is thirsty for blood, then take it.” Our 8 comrades were then assaulted, abused and taken into custody, handcuffed from the back.

The reactionary-fascist Turkish Presidential Adviser and former Transport Minister, İlhami Yıldırım, was the target of an armed attack. Popular Fighters Group of the Maoist Communist Party has taken responsibility and will issue a full communique soon. Yıldırım’s driver was shot several times and his weapons were seized. Yıldırım escaped the vehicle. Long live the new internationalist armed struggle.

Istanbul: Anarchists torn down the fences of animal concentration camp (Turkey)

Kısırkaya Animal Camp built in Kısırkaya village of Sarıyer, for street animals what means being exiled from streets, being genocided was protested by animal animal rights supporters and animal liberation defenders. With no doubt Kısırkaya Camp is also a part of the destruction project of Northern Forests.

The anger and the reaction, collected by the ongoing propaganda and information campaign, resulted hundreds of people gather in front of the Camp.

After the press speech, anarchists and animal liberation activists who defends the idea of giving reaction and expressing feeling directly destroyed the gate and the fences of the camp. Even the gendarmes were ready with sticks and gas bombs no contact was happened. Some stencils and writing on the walls also done. People who had some doubts in the beginning about destroying the fences then also joined the action.

Also some fences and the back entrance of the camps were also smashed down while leaving from the area.

Also some demos were held in Ankara and İzmir.
