Athens: The Earth Liberation Front takes responsibility for an incendiary attack against a poultry company in solidarity with the prisoners struggle (Greece)

On the evening of the Easter day, 12 to 13 of April, we attacked using 3 incendiary devices with time delay, aiming to destroy the building’s entrance and 3 vehicles (1 truck and 2 vans) belonging to a poultry company in Agios Pavlos Str. in Peristeri, as an action of solidarity with the imprisoned hunger strikers in Greek prisons.

Strength to all those who continue, to the imprisoned members of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire and those who are recovering, having stood with dignity and consistency against the state and in this specific timing, against the left administrators and exponents of authority – who (and this is clear for all those who don’t connive) since the first day they gripped the governmental seats have made their intentions clear, with highlight, so far, the tactical administration of the hunger strike and the eviction of the occupied University’s of Athens deanery.

IMMEDIATE satisfaction of the hunger strikers’ demands:

Abolition of paragraphs 187 and 187A of the counter-terrorist law

Abolition of the hood-law

Abolition of type C prisons

Immediate release of the heavily handicapped Savvas Ksiros

Restriction of DNA use

We chose this specific target as we believe that practical opposition to the non-human animals commercialization industry cannot be excluded from the fight against the state, the capital and every kind of authoritarian superstructure. The practice of detention is the same, equally rejectable whether it has to do with human prisons – “correctional institutions”, concentration camps or if it concerns structures of the meat and animal products industry .

The timing of our attack was no coincidence. It was a moment while the human-mass was still sunk in sloth, having done the previous days their bit towards the Church and the holy ghosts that haunt and define their very existence. Every temple of society, physical or mental, every mold, every stereotype, every habit that reproduces, feeds or just reflects the numerous faces of power, is worth nothing more than being crushed.

Such a habit is the meat eating which has been established the exact same way that the practice of nature looting is established as “normal”, as we notice it taking place in Skouries, Chalkidiki, Italy (NO-TAV) and every place in the world.

Through this action of ours we respond to the call of Chilean comrades, whose actions have given us smiles so many times. Strength to Nataly Casanova, Juan Flores and Guillermo Durán, who are on hunger strike since April 14th.

At the same time, we are sending our own signal of solidarity and complicity to all those charged, imprisoned and suffering repression, having found themselves on the attack lines of ELF and ALF.

We’re sending out a call to every rebelling individual, every affinity group, every direct action cell, in order to intensify the attacks on all fronts, in any way they think suitable, by all means available.

Istanbul: ELF-FAI/IRF torched an excavator in North Forests (Turkey)

While we lit a cold and dark night with a pile of iron, the rising flames could be seen far from the site and aside from the pleasure that has given us, the action was taken in the service of eco-vandalism lobby which has a name that’s never been heard.

On Thursday, February 20th, in Poyraz rural regions of Anatolian part of Istanbul, we attacked an excavator which is left to sleep on the verge of excavating the nature and we spray painted several locations around the site with the signs of ‘ELF-FAI/IRF’. While this nature killer became unusable with a simple, time-set, handmade incendiary device, the message we wanted to give was clear: “If you build it, we will burn and destroy it!”.

Our major motivations for this action are;

We wanted to emphasize that the definitive attack against the dictatorship which legitimizes itself by conducting ecocide projects such as ‘3. Bosphorus Bridge’ and ‘Canal Istanbul’, has to be manifested no more relying on stereotypes liberal-pacifist “consciousness raising campaigns” and “judicial process”. These kind of organizations are just trying to delay what is unavoidable and to hinder the reasonable eco-defense ground against current ecological destruction. Trying to get a positive decision from the State’s justice system which is actually the contractor of ecocides, they help weakening the anger by channeling it to polls or social media shares. Phoenix project #7: ELF/FAI burn down sawmill at hunting resort in Bryansk – 'Some thoughts on recent issues with FAI/IRF' (Russia)

On October the 2nd of 2013, 2 incendiaries 1.5l of gasoline each were placed at the sawmill situated on the land of a hunting resort under Bryansk (western Russia). Tongues of flames rose up to lick the rags left by unfortunate woodcutters right on the device. A nearby hill offered awesome spot to enjoy the night scene: thick smoke was soon gathering under the roof and coiling around the compound in a mist-like fashion.

We suggest this action to count as our input in PHOENIX project (#7), a project for the revival of direct action acts and anarchist resistance after repressions of 2010-2012. We wholeheartedly support our mates from Moscow cells of CCF and ELF when they state the necessity to resume and widen our attacks on state and capital.

Some thoughts about the recent critique by anonymous comrades from Argentina. Without any second thoughts of being self-referential or posting useless bravado:

Interior debates are not always worth it to publish them in English on international sites. Besides we thought that a series of attacks on similar targets still sparks debates in the anarchist community at least on the local level (we can name anti-police campaign of 2008-2011, Khimki and Butovsky forests, recent protests against mining project in Voronezh). Sometimes things go beyond debates.

We also considered it agreed upon that its very hard to coordinate timed hits at the similar structures on the international level (like fur farms, woodcutter industry, cops, prisons, military objects, industry, banks, gas and oil etc.) as this takes more time and we are communicating on a more or less public level here. So our enemies can get the better of us. It is debatable whether we should risk our freedom during next action for a chance to see a communique about similar action taking place 6 months later somewhere else. Besides, one cannot say we do not coordinate to some extent: notice the series of attacks at power supply lines and electricity industry objects in Belarus, Canada and Indonesia, actions taken against banking institutions in the UK, Russia, Germany, Italy, Greece, numerous coordinated acts of hunger strikes performed by our imprisoned comrades throughout the planet.

For our collective the whole FAI-IRF thing is more important because of the feeling of being part to some wider community. In the past that was the “social anarchist” organizations’ exclusive domain. Now anarchists of other inclinations can feel camaraderie and support across the globe. Just several years ago in our country if you wanted to get in touch with anarchists you’d have to suffer through established mainstream anarchists organizations. And if some shit happened they were the first to mumble about police provocateurs and stuff. Now people who feel the same, who are edging towards rebellion and actions as no less valid than anarchist theory, can link up outside the pacifist and reformist anarchist framework. And when we read about hundreds of cars burning in one part of the world, banks going in flames in another and construction vehicles sabotaged somewhere else – so much the better. A short trip in memory: recall the heated discussions over the FAI acronym just a little while ago (or early discussions over the support/denouncement of CCF). We believe it is the achievement every group from FAI-IRF that things have changed.

We understand that your concern is lack of streamlined coordination in our attacks, but we have another issue to discuss as well: new groups to be formed, spreading of information, countermeasures against repressions. If one wants to coordinate her attacks more thoroughly, she needs only to read other people’s communiques better. But to fight the still ongoing repression aimed at direct action groups world wide – this is the task we believe should be addressed asap.

'FAI / ELF New Horizons of Burning Rage' take responsibility for media sabotage (UK)

FAI/ELF COMMUNIQUE FOR TV & RADIO BLACKOUT

As part of the ongoing anarchist war for total liberation, we carried out a hit on the Bathampton radio and TV relay station. Fires were set at four points of the structures, and we left undisturbed. As a result of the sabotage, on top of causing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage, we regionally shut down all TV channels on Freeview as well as all national analogue and digital radio stations. Additionally it took down Vodaphone and other mobile networks, damaging police communications and other digital services. 80,000 homes and businesses in the area were affected.

The entertainment industry is an important tool to manipulate human behaviour.
Without a steady supply of distractions it would be much harder to persuade people that their lives are satisfactory, to convince them to keep going to work or in whatever way to reproduce the system. So to deprive the network of the ability to offer this essential means of escape from chronic modern stress, anxiety, frustration and dissatisfaction is to undermine the smooth running of society, however temporarily.

There are many soft targets and many lo-tech methods available for us malcontents who gladly choose conflict over despair. This gives rise to the prospect of rebellion with thousands of faces, with infinite reasons to blockade and destroy whatever stands between us and our goals. We want to experience harmony as a living planet, face to face encounter as intimate circles of proud and free-thinking individuals, and a chance to mould an existence filled with wild play and fierce joy. Our first response when faced with today’s crushing domination and a subservient society will always be outbreaks of disorder, refusal and beauty.

Our comrades from far and wide who also carry this fight share our thoughts so closely that often their words could be ours. So when they are kidnapped and held far away from us our determination is only further fuelled. Following many actions in Italy the state has unleashed a wave of repression against anarchists and their projects (Operations Ardire, Mangiafuoco, Ixodidae, Thor…), some across borders, accusing some of attacks of the FAI (Informal Anarchist Federation) and raising a trophy for the media-judicial circus: Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito, who they claim are FAI / Olga Cell. But if the prosecutors thought for one minute that they had dismantled the group even in Italy with their operations, another cell soon proved them wrong with an attack on the banking system in the capital, followed by grid sabotage in Indonesia, gunshots in Mexico, liberations in Russia, bombing in Greece, mass arson in Argentina, to name but a few. The new anarchist guerrillas laugh in the faces of the powerful because the repression is only throwing petrol on the fires of the open leaderless resistance.

We are on the side of everyone who has burnt stuffy textbooks and taken the offensive to reanimate an anarchy that had turned to dust in so many throats. Any rebel’s capture becomes yet another motive to strike, as we have before and will again, as a reminder of the social cost of their imprisonment.

This action carried out eight years to the day since Xosé Tarrio (a dignified prisoner of Spain’s FIES isolation units, against which a series of attacks last decade were later claimed by the first generation of the FAI) died in the cells, leaving his blood on the hands of the jailers, courts and cops.

Freedom and Solidarity to Marie Mason on her 51st Birthday (USA)

Marie Mason is an eco-prisoner condemned with a long prison punishment by the American regime.

Marie Mason’s 51st birthday is coming up on January 26, 2013. We are asking that folks hold events for Marie around her birthday as part of what will be an annual time to celebrate her life and keep her spirits up while she remains imprisoned.

We know that the mid-winter holidays are a busy time for everyone, but they are a sad time for the prisoners who remain inside – and everyone wants some cheer on their birthday! So we hope that folks can find time to plan a small event for Marie, such as a letter-writing or birthday party. (If time permits, we recommend that you might want to hold letter writings a week or more earlier so the cards can reach her before the 26th.) (more…)

String of solidarity attacks in support of anarchist prisoners worldwide (Russia)

Hunting season in Russia kicked off simultaneously with autumn rains. Nowadays this is called ‘We provide for the best spending of your leisure time’. Murder of wildlife has become a banal hobby, an entertainment, a way to relax from working routine in noisy megapolis.

On 21.09 we moved out to attack a farm where wild birds were bred in captivity. We failed to find bird cages on site, so a decision was made to torch a meat restaurant (a facility where most birds end up as meat dishes). But our scouts reported that this building doubled as a place for animal confinement during autumn and winter time. So an action was called off for fear of killing animals. We do not disclose the exact location of the facility because we are not done with the fuckers yet.

On 23.09 we continued with another attack, breaking onto the territory of another hunting site (Chelyabinsk region). We liberated 18 pheasants from their cages. It was a first action of this kind for our collective, so numerous doubts had been voiced. Birds could raise ruckus and thus alert guards to our presence. But the reality was different: captives cooperated with us and behaved as silently as possible.

It is above and beyond our capabilities to win freedom for human captives taken hostages by the system, but we do what we can in fighting for unconditional freedom for all living beings. So far we are content to have set 18 birds free.

In the same period we planted about 2 scores of seed bombs (apple-trees and maples) on territories where it had been possible to stop clearcuts. We include this fact in our report with explicit aim of demonstrating that it is possible to add new dimension to eco-anarchist and insurrectionary projects, the dimension not of destruction, but creation. Not only do we take pains to destroy the status-quo, we are also actively involved into the creation of another world we know is possible.

On 24.09 we torched a cell phone tower that had doubled as satellite relay. It was situated in Kolomna district (near Moscow), just several dozen yards from human habitats. The flame eventually consumed whole length of the tower and we had been enjoying flashes from exploding equipment for quite some time.

All of the aforementioned acts were carried out in the spirit of solidarity and support of eco-anarchist and insurrectionary anarchist prisoners, suspects and refugees throughout the world within the new wave of decentralized attacks.

Tax office sabotaged in St. Petersburg – Cell tower torched in Bryansk (Russia)

On the night of 26 July an electric distribution box of the Russian tax police was set on fire (St. Petersburg, Partisan Herman, 37). A 1 litre incendiary was used for the action. On the following day the cables were changed, but the box itself still shows signs of fire.

Bryansk, Russia. Cell tower torched, equipment expropriated – July 2012

If you happen to travel from Bryansk to Gomel, you may happen upon a tree-covered hill with what appears to be a cell tower on it. But upon closer examination you will see that the cables are burned and hang in tatters, while the booth itself was broken into and its portable equipment taken away. There are still tracks of our “tachanka” on the ground.

June 11th began as an international day of solidarity with long-term anarchist prisoner Jeff “Free” Luers in 2004. At the time, Jeff was serving 22+ years. Infuriated by the environmental devastation he saw occurring on a global scale, Jeff torched three SUVs at a car dealership in Eugene, Oregon [Click for info on Sadie & Exile, who torched the same dealership in solidarity]. The sentence imposed on him was meant to send a clear message to others who were angered by capitalism’s continued war on the Earth’s ecosystems – and to those who were willing to take action to put a stop to it. Sadie and Exile have been transferred to a re-entry facility (USA)

Update: We just received word that they cannot receive mail at the address we posted. There is no way to send them mail that we know of at this time.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, ELF prisoners Sadie and Exile have been transferred to the custody of the Seattle Community Corrections Office after spending more than 6 years in full confinement.

These kind of facilities are half-prisons where the inmates are allowed to go out for work and not much else. (more…)

Bristol: Attack against Communications Infrastructure by ELF (UK)

We take responsibility for the attack on the communications mast on Dundry hill on 11th April, that took out five communication services and took off air BBC Radio Bristol and Jack FM for more than 16 hours, as well as disrupting Avon and Somerset Police radio communications it seems (although they are refusing to comment on this).

We did this by stuffing two tyres with rags and methylated spirit, jamming them in the bundles of wires at the bottom of the mast and then igniting them. It was our pleasure to demonstrate that with modest ability and ample will we can create a rupture in ‘business as usual’.

We want to interrupt the spectacle of the mass media, and the administration of the technological-information society.

These radio stations and the media in general enforce the interests of the ruling class – the state and corporations. Propaganda masquerading as ‘objective news’ comes ad verbatim from government and corporate sources, and listeners get blasted with a tidal wave of adverts worshipping commodity lifestyle. Any criticism of the status quo is allowed, as long as it occurs within certain parameters, taking capitalism and civilisation as given, and entrenching the idea that these are inevitable. These criticisms, drained of any vitality, actually help maintain the existing order by making it appear tolerant. Genuinely revolutionary ideas are met with violent repression, as in the recent case of the anarchist counter information websites Culmine and Parole Armatein Italy. Every repressive blow deserves an answer. Mass media is the enemy of all rebellion and of every attempt to create a free life.

The media is just one tool of modern alienation. Technologies such as mobile phones and online networks have become so all-pervasive that other more meaningful forms of communication have been undermined. We are increasingly atomised and connected to each other through the mediation of mass electronic devices. The technological-information society makes it easy to bury yourself in obsessive updating, reality TV, ‘social media’, popularity games and whatever gets handed down to blot out a way of life which hinges on control and exclusion.

Faced with all this, we aren’t bought off as accomplices to an impoverished society that is collapsing the ecology which hosts us on this planet, and we reject the endless slide show of media revelry.

This was our torch of solidarity to; Luca Abba (injured whilst resisting the military-style occupation by police thugs in the Susa Valley) and the 25 arrested across Italy fighting against the high speed train line construction; the jailed eco-sabateurs Braulio and Adrian in Mexico along with Sadie and Exile in the US; and members of the Greek revolutionary organisation Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (who are now threatened with having their sentences lengthened) and the others accused in their case.

Earth Liberation prisoners Joyanna “Sadie” Zacher and Nathan “Exile” Block, who are a married couple, have been disallowed correspondence by their captors with the excuse that Sadie is “unrepentant” of her crimes. Sadie and Exile are nearing the end of their seven-year-and-eight-month federal prison sentences for two million-dollar arsons prosecuted under the FBI’s Operation Backfire investigation into the Earth Liberation Front. Specifically, the couple has been convicted of the the $959,000 arson of the Romania Chevrolet dealership on March 30, 2001 and the $994,412 arson of Jefferson Poplar on May 21, 2001. (more…)

Seit 2002 ist die EU-Polizeiagentur für die Verfolgung von Umwelt- und Tierrechtsaktivismus bekannt. Jetzt bekommt die Kriminalisierung internationaler politischer Kampagnen eine neue Facette: Eine Konferenz von Europol nimmt unter anderem verkehrspolitische und antirassistische Aktivisten aufs Korn. Um die Kompetenzen der Behörden zu erweitern, werden die Ausgeforschten mit Absendern von Briefbomben gleichgesetzt. Auch der EU-Geheimdienst ist mit von der Partie.

Europol organisiert eine Konferenz zu anarchistischen Bewegungen in der Europäischen Union. Dies berichtete ein Sprecher der EU-Polizeiagentur letzte Woche in der Ratsarbeitsgruppe “Terrorismus”. Demnach soll die Veranstaltung am 25. April stattfinden. Über den Ort wurden keine Angaben gemacht. Gewöhnlich finden derartige Zusammenkünfte aber am Sitz der Agentur in Den Haag statt. (more…)

Hello, my name is Walter Bond. I am currently serving a prison sentence in the United States for 3 A.L.F. arsons totaling nearly 2 million dollars’ worth of damage. Recently, I read a statement in solidarity with the Conspiracy Cells of Fire attempting to create a real voice for all of us political prisoners and prisoners of war, those of us that have fought and still fight from our prison cells against all civilization. Words of Solidarity with Conspiracy of Cells of Fire from some members of Russian Earth Liberation Front / FAI-IRF (Russia)

So many of us captured, thrown into prisons, tortured, wounded or even dead. It’s getting more and more difficult to mention every comrade in each communique. Yet they are all worth mentioning, they shouldn’t fade into obscurity of silence of prison cells. Names spin in the head… People we’ve never known, but their dedication and sacrifice for the cause resonates with our worldview, with our own cause. And faces of friends we’ll never see again. Dead, murdered by the System. Is it everywhere like this? Are we all alone in this hostile world? Are there other mutineers, saboteurs, discontent? How do we get in touch with all this censorship?

How do we let them know with all this conspiracy of silence in media and society, even among political left? How do we communicate? We don’t know their language even. How do we write? Can they translate from Russian? OK, let’s just give it a try, we’ll see where this’ll go soon enough… (more…)

“In the early hours of Tuesday morning (27/09/11) McDonalds drive thru in Bedminster was visited and thoroughly smashed, with all it’s windows attacked.

Fuck Mcdonalds and the death culture they perpetuate and symbolise globally, which means:

abuse and mass slaughter for millions of animals caged all their miserable lives, poisonous food, sickness and cancer for humans, mind numbing drudgery and workplace control and discipline for workers treated like slaves, destruction for the environment and of course massive profit for capitalists.

If you thought smashing up Mcdonalds had gone out of anticapitalist fashion, think again. We don’t forget or forgive.

For earth, animal and human liberation.”
