And One

And One is a German new wave, synthpop and EBM band founded by Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz in 1989.

History

The band formed after Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz met in 1989 at a Berlin club. Being fans of early EBM music, Naghavi and Ruiz decided to follow in the footsteps of new wave/synthpop band Depeche Mode by using two keyboards and a beatbox. Jason Ankeny of AllMusic called their 1990 single, "Metal Hammer", a "significant club hit". The duo became a trio with the addition of Alex Two, prior to the release of their debut album, Anguish in 1991. That same year, they were honored as the Best New Artist in Germany.

Going into the release of Anguish, they had already garnered a decent following through touring and appearances at various parties. With their debut release, they took home the Best New Artist award in Germany in 1991. Chris Ruiz left in 1992 (he would later return in 2001) while Steve Naghavi remained with the band. And One released three more albums with Machinery Records, Flop! (1992), Spot (1993) and I.S.T. (1994). The band left Machinery around 1996–1997 and signed to Virgin Schallplatten. And One would release four albums on this label between 1997 and 2003: Nordhausen (1997), 9.9.99 9 Uhr (1998), Virgin Superstar (2000) and Aggressor (2003).

That Winter, the Wind Blows

That Winter, the Wind Blows (Hangul: 그 겨울, 바람이 분다; RR: Geu Gyeo-ul, Baram-i Bunda) is a 2013 South Korean romantic melodrama television series starring Jo In-sung, Song Hye-kyo, Kim Bum and Jung Eun-ji. A gambler and con man (Jo) pretends to be the long-lost brother of a blind heiress (Song), but these two damaged people come to find the true meaning of love after meeting each other.

The series is based on the Japanese drama I Don't Need Love, Summer (愛なんていらねえよ、夏, Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu) that aired on TBS in 2002, and was previously adapted into the 2006 Korean film Love Me Not. This 2013 Korean drama adaptation was written by Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Kim Kyu-tae.

It premiered on SBS with 2 back-to-back episodes on February 13, 2013. The series continued airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes, ending on April 3, 2013.

Synopsis

A melodrama about a man and a blind woman, who doesn't believe in love. Oh Soo is an orphan who is left heartbroken after his first love dies. He leads a goal-less life as a high-stakes gambler. Oh Young is a lonely heiress who feels she that must look after others and herself, after her parents got divorced and she finds herself becoming visually impaired. The two learn the true meaning of love after meeting each other.

"The Wind Blows" is a song by American rock band The All-American Rejects, released as the second single from their third studio album When the World Comes Down on April 21, 2009.

Background

"The Wind Blows" (originally titled "Alone Again") was written by Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter, originally for American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani prior to the release of When the World Comes Down, but was ultimately turned down by her record label.

During the recording sessions for When the Word Comes Down, the band's A&R manager Jeff Sosnow provided producer Eric Valentine with a digital audio library of The All-American Rejects demo songs, where in which the latter person discovered "The Wind Blows". Seeing its potential, Valentine reintroduced the demo to the band, who were uncertain on the song's sound at the time. The band decided to rewrite its chorus and eventually re-record it for the album.

Album-wise on When the World Comes Down, "The Wind Blows" is segued into by the previous track "Believe".
