Pauline Hanson visited the great state of Western Australia last week and the pictures are both painfully awkward and bloody brilliant at the same time.

Several Perthians posted their encounters with the politician on Facebook, showing snaps of them with Hanson at shopping centres and restaurants across the state's capital.

One image showed a man appearing to be pretending to gag with the caption "Warning. Racism may induce vomiting". Hanson smiles on in the image, seemingly unaware.

The politician was visiting Perth to announce that One Nation would be contesting 45 of the state's 59 Lower House seats, the ABC reports.

She also announced One Nation will run candidates in each Upper House region, which means the party will field a total of 60 candidates at WA's March 11 election.
