Murder of Righteous Brothers singer's ex solved

UPDATED Investigators have used a controversial DNA testing method to solve the decades-old killing of the ex-wife of Righteous Brothers singer Bill Medley. Karen Klaas (pictured center with Medley in 1966) was attacked on January 30, 1976 as she returned to her home in Hermosa Beach, California. The 32-year-old was sexually assaulted, strangled with her pantyhose and never regained consciousness. She died a few days later at the hospital. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department revealed on Friday that the case 'was solved through the use of familial DNA, which identified the killer'. They provided no other details about solving the decades-old crime but announced they will release more details on Monday. The Righteous Brothers singer (pictured right in 2016 and left with Bobby Hatfield, the other half of the famed singing duo, in 1974) was divorced from Klaas at the time she was raped and murdered, but the two had a 10-year-old son together. Immigration already stopping visa holders in Trump ban

NEW Visa and green card holders have already been blocked from getting on flights to the United States just hours after Trump signed an executive order introducing his tough new immigration bans. Refugees who were already in the air flying when Trump's executive order came into effect at 4.30pm on Friday were stopped and detained when they landed in the U.S. Others trying to board flights from countries listed on the order were banned from getting on the planes. The Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee said there was chaos at airports and in the air following Trump's ban. It comes as Google called on its employees who may be affected by the immigration order to return to the U.S. immediately fearing they may be banned from re-entering the country. Trump first president to not wait for wife at inauguration

Since day one of his candidacy, Donald Trump has made it clear that he isn't one for niceties. Evidently that also extends to his wife. Rather than waiting to accompany Melania as he exited the car, he left her in the dust as he scaled the famous steps alone to greet the Obama's. An unspoken rule of etiquette, every president in U.S. history has waited for the first lady to reach his side before entering the White House.
