    As more time goes on and I see government/corporate inaction continue away I do become more and more fearful that we’re not gonna be able to *ask* folks to make concessions anymore. And thats why as someone who is capable of doing so i do it now

    I know this is a more generalized post but tbh i think most enviro based veggie/vegan folks (rightfully) address middle class and above consumers. I’m not telling people just making ends meet to spam lentils and rice. I do want the wealthier folks too tho

    Free-range eggs are expensive. Organic, whole grain bread is expensive. Bell peppers are like $3 each at farmer's markets! Cooking takes SO MUCH TIME. It's extremely not helpful to pretend it's easy to eat healthy and joyfully. Stop telling poor people to eat only rice and beans

    The ridiculous part of this is rice crops are one of the most at risk crops for global warming because sea-level rise will salinate rice paddies and completely ruin them. And rice is the backbone of the nutrition of pretty much all of the world’s most in poverty
