Oxfam South Africa is a new, independent organisation to become the first African Affiliate of Oxfam International. Oxfam has been engaged with social justice in South Africa for nearly six decades. Oxfam South Africa consolidates and deepens this rich legacy through its own new strategy, innovative development programming and customised campaigns. It leverages its dual identity as an African organisation and a member of Oxfam International  to contribute to global development, making the links from local to global and vice versa.
