Carissa Moore

Carissa Kainani Moore (born August 27, 1992) is a Hawaiian surfer and the 2011, 2013 and 2016 WSL Women's World Tour Champion.

As of July 2011, Moore has won 6 ASP Women's World Tour events, 2 ASP WQS 6-Star events and an unprecedented 11 NSSA Titles. In 2013 she was named one of Glamour magazine's Women of the Year. She was inducted into the Surfers' Hall of Fame in 2014.

ASP Women’s World Tour

In 2013, Moore won four of the eight ASP World Tour events.

In 2012, Moore finished 3rd in the 2012 ASP World Tour, failing to win any ASP World Tour events, coming runner-up in two events.

In 2011, Moore was declared the ASP Women’s World Champion, the youngest winner of the Title. Throughout the 2011 Tour, Moore won the Billabong Rio Pro, Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic and the Roxy Pro Gold Coast.

In 2010, Moore started competing on the ASP Women’s World Tour. During her first year on the Tour Moore won both the TSB Bank Women’s Surf Festival and Rip Curl Pro Portugal. Moore’s 2010 Women’s World Tour Ranking was 3rd overall. and she was awarded the ASP Women’s World Tour Rookie of the Year.

Chris Joss

Chris Joss is a French multi-instrumentalist and record producer, who has released seven solo albums; five of them by ESL Music. His music ranges from funk to electronica, and tracks excerpted from his releases are featured in movie trailers such as Accepted (2006), Argo (2012), Hotel for Dogs (2009), Inside Deep Throat (2005), Ocean's Thirteen (2007), and Role Models (2008), and the television shows Six Feet Under and Better Call Saul.

His track "I want Freedom", taken from his fourth album, is part of Apple Inc.'s iPhoto 10 and iPhoto 11 software.

His album The Man with a Suitcase (1999) was part of a trend in the late 1990s of "imaginary soundtracks", compositions created to accompany films that did not actually exist. In the soundtrack, he attempted to pay homage to works of the 60s and 70s such as The Avengers and Mission Impossible, with a mixture of jazz, pop, rock, and funk.

Mail

The mail or post is a system for physically transporting documents and other small packages, as well as a term for the postcards, letters, and parcels themselves. Thievery Corporation

Thievery Corporation is a Washington, D.C. based recording artist and DJ collective consisting of Rob Garza, Eric Hilton, and their supporting artists Rob Myers, Loulou Ghelichkhani, Natalia Clavier, Frank 'Booty Lock' Mitchell, Mr. Lif, Jeff Franca and Ashish Vyas. Their music style mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, hip hop, electronica and Brazilian (such as bossa nova).

History

Thievery Corporation was formed in the summer of 1995 at Washington D.C.'s Eighteenth Street Lounge. Rob Garza and Lounge co-owner Eric Hilton were drawn together over their mutual love of club life, as well as dub, bossa nova and jazz records. They decided to see what would come of mixing all these in a recording studio, and from this, in 1996 the duo started their Eighteenth Street Lounge Music record label.

The duo drew attention with their first two 12" offerings, "Shaolin Satellite" and "2001: a Spliff Odyssey" and with their 1997 debut LP, Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi.
