A long-term volunteer commitment, you will receive broadcast training and support and become part of the vibrant community radio community in Spokane! __________________________________________________________ Here are a few weekly programs KYRS would love to have. If you have the interest and knowledge to host a program like this, please fill out the proposal form (link above). MUSIC - A music program focusing on spotlighting local artists through live interviews and in-studio performances. This would include touring bands coming through the area. The focus for this program will be what is happening in the Spokane and regional music scene. - A reggae music program bringing KYRS listeners everything from early and roots reggae up through contemporary reggae music from around the world. - A Latin music program with a focus on global contemporary Latin music, hot salsa, merengue, son, rumba, tango, samba and bossa nova. - A Indie Rock program showcasing new and noteworthy indie artists around the world, country, and northwest.

COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
- Latino Community, a program covering a range of topics from education, leadership, political and cultural debates and interviews, information on current events and opportunities in education.

- Community Health, a program with far reaching health topics, from childbirth to end of life care, current health concerns, preventative medicine. Revolving topics with a consistent host interviewing guest experts, community health and medical professionals.
