Not quite Murder On The Dancefloor! Sophie Ellis-Bextor sizzles in glittering off-the-shoulder frock as she puts in energetic performance at hotel launch

She is a busy mother of four juggling a music career with family life. 

But Sophie Ellis-Bextor resembled a woman far younger than her 37 years as she took to the stage at the Lalit London Hotel launch party on Thursday.

The Murder On The Dancefloor singer looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder black glittering dress for her performance.

With her glossy chestnut hair worn loose around her shoulders, the Murder On The Dancefloor singer wore subtle eye make-up and peachy lipstick for the show. 

The eye-catching dress clung to her slim figure as she moved energetically around the stage at the event, held near London Bridge. 

Sophie teamed her ensemble with a pair of shimmering gold T-bar heels for the show, which saw her joined on stage by a variety of dancers.

The star, who married musician Richard Jones back in 2005, released her latest album Familia, last September.

Speaking on Lorraine in October, she revealed: 'I started recording in February when my youngest Jesse was 13 or 14 weeks old.'

Jesse, who was born in November 2015, is the fourth child for Sophie and her husband Richard Jones, joining older brothers Sonny, 12, Kit, seven, and Ray, four.

The singer insisted that while she was juggling a lot, she found being in the studio with her newborn a really happy time.

'It was really lovely, it was very intense in terms of working, we recorded 11 songs in ten days. I was pottering around doing bits of singing, feeding my baby and cooking for the crew.'

'My husband played on the record so it was a family, relaxed atmosphere.'
