Somebody Alp me! Josie Gibson takes ANOTHER tumble on the ski slopes as she continues to train for injury-ridden series The Jump

She has not taken to the sport as easily as her other contestants - having endured a number of painful tumbles since training began last month.

And it seems Josie Gibson is still battling to master the new skill, as she once again tried to successfully complete a ski run on Thursday.

The Big Brother star, 31, was seen privately training with instructors on the Austrian slopes to get her up to scratch - but soon suffered another painful fall on the practice run.

Uh oh: The Big Brother star, 31, was seen privately training with instructors on the Austrian slopes to get her up to scratch - but soon suffered another painful fall on the practice run

Not fazed: However the blonde did not appear too bothered by her injury on Thursday, as she waited for help from her instructors with a big smile on her face

Dressed in a chic blue ski suit complete with yellow sleeves, the blonde beauty certainly looked the part as she embarked on her intense training session.

Chatting heavily with her instructor, Josie practiced her moves from her stationary position, before she plucked up the courage to slide down the small jump.

However the reality star soon lost her nerve once again and fell in her panic - quickly grabbing onto her instructor as she descended and bringing him down with her.

Let's do this: Josie continued to practice until late into the afternoon - wanting to master the same skill as her fellow contestants

Retiring: She later headed back to the accomodation to rest after her busy day

Josie was one of many contestants who hit the slopes on Thursday to train for the notoriously-dangerous series, which kicks off next weekend.

TOWIE star Lydia Bright looked to have grown in confidence as she whizzed across the snow confidently in a bright pink suit, with her arms in the air.

Meanwhile Olympian Jade Jones appeared to have taken to the sport like a duck to water as she successfully mastered a difficult jump ahead of the show - beaming with pride as she landed with ease.

While many of the stars appear to be making progress however, the series did suffer a set back last week.

It was reported by The Sun last week that ex-Olympian Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards has reportedly been axed from his role as commentator on the show for voicing concerns about safety on the series.

A source told the paper: 'Producers didn't like what he was saying about the show as it came in for a lot of stick.

I got this: Emma Parker Bowles looked slightly precarious as she skid down the slope during her run

And she's down again... However Emma soon lost control of her speed and ended up flat on the snow

'They are really sensitive because of the amount of people who have broken their legs or been seriously hurt.

'It would be hard for Eddie to appear on the show after his comments because he would have to explain them and there is a high chance someone else will get injured.'

However Channel 4 chiefs have allegedly dismissed claims that he was axed for his public mention of health and safety, and called his departure an 'editorial decision'.

Having a ball: Daredevils Spencer Matthews and Louis Smith (L-R) looked more comfortable on the slopes as they cracked a smile for cameras on their way to the top

Sharing tactics: The pair happily chatted as they were escorted to their training session

Feeling good: MIC star Spencer could not hide his joy at the day ahead - having developed a new love for the snow sport with no previous skiing experience

A representative told MailOnline: 'Eddie was on previous series as a commentator and so it is a purely editorial decision not to bring him back.

'Eddie has never been involved in any aspect of the training programme for The Jump as this is the responsibility of qualified instructors who teach the celebrities to ski jump according to modern accepted standards.'

The new series is set to premiere on Channel 4 on Sunday February 5, and will once again be hosted by Davina McCall.

Let's hear it for the boys: Robbie Fowler and Mark Dolan (L-R) cut tired figures as they repeated moves over and over to get them perfect

Say cheese! The star then later posed happily for cameras after a successful day on the slopes

While many fans are excited for its return, others are concerned about the welfare of the next set of celebrities - after endless stars from last series suffered horrific injuries from learning the skill of various winter sports.

Gymnast Beth Tweddle, 31, needed surgery to fix a fractured vertebrae, while reality star Mark-Francis Vandelli, 26, suffered a fractured ankle during a live event and was forced to withdraw from the show after heading to hospital.

Double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington, 26, also withdrew from the show on medical advice after she dislocated her shoulder mid-jump in the show's titular event.

Touch of glamour: Vogue Williams and Caprice Bourret (L-R) added a hint of chic style to their slopes in their winter ensembles, lined with pink detailing

Good sports: Meanwhile Louis chatted to rugby star Gareth Thomas to catch up on their progress

Holby City actress Tina Hobley, 44, also headed for the exit after she dislocated her elbow and suffered two fractures to her arm.

Yet keen to make a change this year, sources reported to The Sun that much of the series content was being pre-filmed to help ensure the celebrities' safety.

Speaking to the publication, the source said: 'The producers don’t want to risk anything this year and pre-recording most stuff makes it a lot easier. There have been a few injuries on camera in the past — not just in training — so they want to avoid those situations...

Fast approaching: The new series is set to premiere on Channel 4 on Sunday February 5, and will once again be hosted by Davina McCall

'It also means the celebs won’t take bigger risks as the adrenaline won’t be pumping like it does on the live shows.'

However host Davina admitted that while she was surprised the show is making a comeback in light of the injuries, she is very excited to see what the next group of celebrities have in store.

She explained: 'I was amazed [it was renewed] because I didn't think we'd be able to get people back on it, but apparently people still want to do the show which is great. They're amazing.'
