She's been a fixture on the show for five seasons.

But Real Housewives Of Orange county star Heather Dubrow has revealed she has left the show.

In a statement to show producers Bravo the mother-of-four said she needed to do what was best for her family.

Heather, wed to Botched plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, said: 'At this point in my life, I have decided to go in another direction and do what’s best for my family and career.'

And she explained: 'After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to RHOC this season.

'These past 5 years have been an incredible journey and I'm so proud to have been a part of such an iconic piece of pop culture

'I am so grateful to Evolution Media, Bravo and the whole NBCU family for all of the incredible experiences and the opportunities RHOC has afforded me and my family.'

However the 48-year-old did not rule out returning to the show in future, saying: 'Should I change my mind, I thank Andy Cohen, Evolution and Bravo for telling me that the door is always open.'

Heather's departure makes her the second high profile castmember to quit the show, with her co-star Meghan King Edmonds, 32, also departing, it was revealed this week.

Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd are all currently slated to return to the show in season 11.
