Bad hair day: Nicolas Cage disheveled look reveals his thinning locks at LAX

Not only is Nicolas Cage a versatile actor, he has also shown off a rather diverse set of hair styles over the years.

The Gone in 60 Seconds actor looked a little disheveled in the hair department as he showcased a hairline which appeared to be retreating, in Los Angeles on Thursday. 

The 53-year-old looked like a man on a mission as he jetted into LAX, giving a glimpse of his battle with baldness.

The Face/Off star had compensated with a generous amount of facial hair, sporting a beard and moustache. 

He kept it casual in grey jeans and a simple black Tee, underneath a suede biker jacket. 

Nicolas covered his eyes with dark glasses as he caught up on a phone call.  

The nephew of Francis Ford Coppola split from wife of 11 years Alice Kim last summer. 

The couple have one son together, ten-year-old Kal-el Coppola Cage.

Nicolas and his third wife met in 2004, when she was just 19 and working as a waitress at a Los Angeles restaurant.

The Con Air actor was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley for almost four months in 2002 and to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001.

He also has a 25-year-old son, Weston, from a previous relationship with model Christina Fulton.

He is currently starring on the big screen in thriller Arsenal, which was released earlier this month, and has five more movies coming out in 2017. 

Nicolas has also reportedly been been offered the role of Ronald Reagan in an upcoming film, but is reportedly voicing his concerns about how the former president will be portrayed in the picture.

The Oscar-winning actor is said to be worried that it might damage his career if he plays Reagan in a flattering light reported Page Six

Cage's publicist, Stephen Huvane, dismissed that report however, saying: 'It’s way too early in the development process.'
