Solemn: George Michael's former partner Kenny Goss seems to be still reeling from the loss of his superstar ex, who died on Christmas Day
Clad all in dark hues, the art gallery owner cut a downcast figure as he stepped out, with his companion seemingly comforting him by wrapping a friendly arm around his shoulders as they walked side by side.
The appearance comes weeks after it emerged that he had found love again despite the blow of losing his longtime love George, who he split from in 2011.
Friends tell DailyMail.com that he is besotted with his new partner, and that suggestions of his relationship with the singer being rekindled before his death are far from the mark.
However, they spoke of a man whose relationship with Michael now defines his life, as it has led to his most important work: a foundation in both men's names for young and struggling artists.

Goss's influence on Michael was well known.
In the wake of the 53-year-old singer's sudden death on Christmas Day, he issued a moving statement, mourning his former lover.
'I'm heartbroken with the news that my dear friend and longtime love George Michael has passed,' he wrote.
'He was a major part of my life and I loved him very, very much. He was an extremely kind and generous man.
'The beautiful memories and music he brought to the world will always be an important part of my life and those who also loved and admired him.'

Friends told DailyMail.com that Goss was already on his way to England to ensure he would be present for Michael's funeral.
That is hardly a surprise; Goss's public acknowledgement of Michael in death was clearly heartfelt, and the loss is likely to prove difficult.
When Michael announced his split from Goss on stage in 2011, he disclosed that the Texan had fought a battle with addiction himself.
'I love him very much. This man has brought me a lot of joy and pain,' he said.
'My love life has been a lot more turbulent than I've ever let on, and I'm so sad about my relationship with Kenny. I'm sorry for any pain.
'My battles with substances are well documented. My partner has been through his own battle.'
Contemporary art: Kenny has dedicated himself to working in the world of contemporary art
A friend of Goss's said: 'He and George were ultimate philanthropists. They put their hearts into helping artists and Kenny continued with the work despite breaking up with his boyfriend.'
