Mother of former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reality TV star is FOUND safe at home amid kidnapping fears 

  • Kimberly Moore, 54, mother of Atlanta rapper Chavante 'Che' Mack, went missing from her DeKalb County, Georgia, home Wednesday evening 
  • Police say she was found safe at her other home in Cobb County Thursday
  • Mack appeared on Season 2 of hit VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta 
  • Mack, who welcomed her baby daughter 10 days ago, came by her mother's home and found the back door kicked in 
  • The house was in disarray, but Moore's car and wallet were left behind 
  • Police employed aerial search and K9 units to track her down, but without success

The mother of a former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star who was believed to have been kidnapped from her home Wednesday evening was found unharmed this morning.

Investigators say 54-year-old Kimberly Moore, whose daughter, Chavante 'Che' Mack, appeared on Season 2 of the hit VH1 reality show about Atlanta’s hip hop industry, was found safe in her other residence in Cobb County.

Moore was not injured. She was being taken to police headquarters for an interview as part of an ongoing investigation. Police have not released any additional details about where Moore had been, or how they found her.

Detectives suspected that Moore had been abducted from her property in DeKlab County between 7 and 7.45pm. When officers responded to the house on Maplewood Drive, they found it ransacked, with both the front and back doors ajar.

Crime scene: When officers responded to Moore's home on Maplewood Drive in DeKalb County, they found it ransacked

Mack, who just welcomed her daughter 10 days earlier, took to Instagram Thursday morning to plead for her mother's safe return.

'Please let's pray for me I love you mom lets [sic] get you back home safe,' her message read.

It was accompanied by a recent photo of Moore cradling her newborn granddaughter in the hospital.

As of early Thursday afternoon, she has not commented on her mother's recovery.

Mack was the one who reported her mother missing after she came by the woman’s house at around 8pm Wednesday and discovered that someone had kicked in the back door, reported CBS46.

Inside, she found the home in a state of disarray, but her mother's car and other possessions, including her wallet and identification card, were left behind. Police suspect foul play.

Crime scene investigators spent the early hours of Thursday looking for clues at the missing woman's residence.

DeKalb police Major Stephen Fore told Channel 2 that they conducted an aerial search from a helicopter and employed K9 units to help track down Moore, but without success.

Kimberly Moore was described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 160-170lbs.

Speaking outside her mother's home, a visibly shaken Ms Mack said of Moore: 'She's an independent... she's a strong woman, she doesn't do anything to anybody and she definitely did not deserve this.'

‘Che’ Mack, an Atlanta-based rapper, joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta in 2013 as the a new protege of producer Stevie J.

A fifth season of the high-rated reality show aired in April 2016.

Mack announced over the summer that she and her long-time boyfriend, fellow hip hop artist Made Man, were expecting their first child together, a girl.

The couple welcomed baby Ginger Specelle Mosley on January 16.

In an Instagram message sharing the happy news, Mack revealed that she had to undergo an emergency C-section and her daughter had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice.
