Ben Affleck's passion project Live by Night FLOPS and results in $75 million loss for Warner Bros
He took the critical response to Batman v Superman very personally.
And it seems Ben Affleck now has more to be upset about, as it's been revealed by Variety that his latest film Live by Night has officially bombed.
The 44-year-old actor and director wrote, directed and starred in the picture, which follows the exploits of an infamous Florida rum-runner during Prohibition.
According to insiders for the weekly showbiz publication, the flop has resulted in an estimated $75 million loss for Warner Bros.

It was a passion project for the Oscar winner, which no doubt makes the failure even more painful.
Aside from being a financial flop, the movie also failed to garner much critical acclaim, despite it's star-studded cast which included Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Cooper.
To date, the film has made $16.5 million dollars, and will probably not make much more globally, as melodramatic period pieces tend to not do well in foreign markets.
Long time coming: It was a passion project for the Oscar winner, which no doubt makes the failure even more painful
The fact that the film also didn't earn any Oscar nominations will make it an even more uphill battle.
Warner Bros, which was the main backer of the film, reportedly spent $65 million on production and tens of millions more on distribution and marketing costs.
While the studio did in fact have a financial partner on the film, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, it's unclear how much they contributed to the project.
Panned: The fact that the film also didn't earn any Oscar nominations will make it an even more uphill battle
Adding to the humiliation, Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice nabbed an impressive eight nominations for the Razzie Awards, a list of the year's worst films.
The blockbuster, described as a 'WTF comic-book battle royale,' earned Razzie picks for worst film, sequel and screenplay, while Affleck earned a Worst Actor nomination for his role as Batman.
Even though Live by Night was a failure, and his turn as Batman was panned, Ben's relationship with Warner Bros still appears to be quite intact, as he's still set to star in the upcoming Justice League, as well as direct a standalone Batman movie in which he will presumably also star.
