Kim Kardashian starts new trend as she shows off PIERCED nails (but it's only for the truly pampered)

She's always been a trend-setter.

And this time, Kim Kardashian, 36, took her nail game to the next level with piercing through the top of every single one of them.

But they are clearly fake, as real nails would have a hard time supporting multiple holes through the tips.

Showing off her style: The mother of two moves her hand back and forth and turns it around to show the hoops dangling from the tips of her hands.

The nails are a matte light purple with a chrome finish and extend far beyond her actual fingers to make room for the two or three hoops in each one.

It will be interesting to see how long they last as it seems like it would be next to impossible to get anything done with them. 

Of course, she has others to help with menial hands-on tasks like housework, make up, washing her own hair and changing her son's nappy.

The mother-of-two is all about pushing the boundaries and wearing trends that are definitely fashion forward.

The queen of contour completed the look with a pair of snakeskin stilettos and an over-sized blue and black plaid shirt.

Meanwhile Kim's mother Kris Jenner has opened up about the reality star's struggle to overcome her horrifying robbery ordeal in October, describing it all as 'gruelling and draining.'

The Kardashian matriarch told the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday that the robbery has taken a devastating toll on Kim following news that French police recently made 17 arrests in connection with the multi-million dollar heist.

'... Apparently they did [catch the thieves],' she said. 

'[Kim's] had a really hard time with the incident and the whole thing has been very gruelling and draining.'

The reality TV star was bound and gagged by thieves at Hotel Pourtalès in October, before being robbed of an estimated $10 million in jewellery and Kris confirmed the stolen goods are yet to be recovered.

'I have not heard anything about that to be honest, I think we're just getting past people getting arrested,' she said. 

Kim has recently gotten back to work, making an appearance in Dubai to give a contouring tutorial with her makeup artist.
