A daughter of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is criticizing former President Barack Obama for not granting early release to her father, who's serving prison time for corruption.
In an emotional letter, 20-year-old Amy Blagojevich called Obama 'spineless' for not commuting her father's sentence. Blagojevich's wife, Patti, posted the letter on her Facebook page.
Blagojevich is in the fourth year of a 14-year sentence on corruption convictions, including for trying to sell Obama's U.S. Senate seat after he became president.

Amy Blagojevich (left, in 2015) oldest daughter of disgraced former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, has written an open letter to President Obama (right, on his last day in office), condemning him for not commuting her father's sentence

In her 1,511-word letter, Amy - a 20-year-old student at Northwestern University - wrote that President Obama's inaction had caused her deep pain and she felt betrayed.
'You’ve broken my heart once again, and you’ve betrayed the concept of justice like many other heartless individuals before you.
'Turns out you are just like the rest - selfish and spineless.'
The ex-governor petitioned Obama for a commutation, and both Amy and her 13-year-old sister Annie wrote letters asking Obama to act.
'You can’t deny that you saw the letters my sister and I wrote. I am almost certain that someone put them directly in your hands. That’s what they told us they would do, at least.
'So you read them. You knew of our heartache and desperation,' Amy wrote.
In her younger sister's letter to the president, Annie wrote: 'I know you have two daughters that are close to our ages. My dad is a good father, and he loves us so much. I know you can imagine how it would be to be separated from them for so long.'
Amy said that she understands that Obama couldn't have commuted her father's sentence in his first term - or even in his second term since he was campaigning for Hillary.
But she doesn't get why her dad's name wasn't on the list of commutations on Obama's last day in office, when he had nothing to lose.
Among the allegations was that Blagojevich tried to sell Mr Obama's Senate seat when he became president. He's pictured above with his wife and two daughters (including youngest daughter Annie) in 2009. Amy is now 20 and Annie is now 13
Amy teared up in court in August when her a federal judge re-sentenced her father to his original 14-year term
'You’ve broken my heart once again, and you’ve betrayed the concept of justice like many other heartless individuals before you,' Amy wrote in the letter. Above, Amy pictured in photos from Facebook
'You didn’t have to pardon him, only commute the sentence. You just had to let him come home,' she wrote. 'You didn’t. You released others, like Chelsea Manning and FALN terrorists, who actually committed reprehensible crimes, but you failed to release an innocent man.'
Amy noted in the letter the emotional toll on her family over the past eight years. She lamented that Obama did and said nothing of Blagojevich's ordeal during that time.
Balgojavich, 60, is more than four years into his 14-year sentence. He is slated for release in 2024. More than 16,000 prisoners petitioned to have their sentences commuted by Obama, and he granted 1,715 requests.
