They haven't been very public with their friendship, but Princess Eugenie and Felicity Jones showed just how close they are as they embraced after running in to each other in London this week.

Felicity, the heroine of the newly released Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, appeared to be out doing some shopping with her director boyfriend Charles Guard.

Meanwhile Eugenie, who's recently been the subject of engagement rumours with her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, seems to have stepped out alone.

The two looked delighted as they unexpectedly ran into each other on Bond Street earlier this week.

Birmingham-born Felicity, 33, and her boyfriend of two years stopped to chat animatedly to the 26-year-old princess for quite a while and all three appeared in good spirits.

Eugenie, clad in a black parka with a furry hood, seemed to be regaling her friends with a story as Felicity, who donned an ankle-length black coat, and Charles looked on in interest.

Stay warm this winter in a coat by Canada Goose

There's no denying that winter is here in full force. As much as we want to be buying new season trends we can't pack away our cosy knits just yet.

And that goes double for our outerwear. We need every defense possible against the cold in our wardrobe and that's why we're taking inspiration from Princess Eugenie who was spotted out and about in London last night in her Canada Goose parka.

This label is beloved of our celebrity friends with Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Kiera Knightly all fans and we don't blame them. These parkas are built to withstand the worst Canada can throw at them so you know they'll cope with a British winter with ease.

So if you're desperate to stay toasty then why not click (right) to buy a coat like Eugenie's now at MATCHESFASHION? Or you can spend a lot less on one of the options from the high street in our edit below.

Felicity - who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in 2015's The Theory of Everything - and Eugenie shared an affectionate goodbye as they gave each other a hug and a kiss before going their separate ways.

Felicity is thought to have been seeing producer Charles for close to two years

The outing took place the day before Beatrice's star-studded night out on Thursday, where she joined Ellie Goulding and other celebrities at a party hosted by celebrity hairdresser Larry King at The Arts Club in Mayfair.

Prince Andrew’s 26-year-old daughter appeared to be attempting to cover her mouth as she arrived at the bash, holding up the collar of her black jacket to hide her mouth.

But she accidentally let it slip and revealed a dark blemish on her upper lip.
