Looking ready for business but warm, Letizia, 44, opted for a block colour cape in camel and black, over a smart wide-legged trouser suit with a pussy-bow blouse.
The glamorous mother-of-two finished the look with a designer handbag, opting for a Hugo Boss navy clutch.
The media was quick to pick up on some greying streaks in Letizia's hair in her appearances post Christmas. However, her brunette locks looked perfectly pristine today, complemented by a pretty pair of drop earrings.
By her side at the 'Agroexpo' fair in Badajoz on the Portugeuse border was an equally stylish King Felipe.
The bearded Spanish monarch wore a slate grey suit with pale blue shirt and a patterned tie.
Crowds of well-wishers arrived at the expo to greet the royal couple. They spent nearly 30 minutes greeting the crowds, shaking hands with fans and having their pictures snapped on smartphones.

Letizia was joined by her husband's mother, Sofía - who was queen consort until her husband, Juan Carlos I abdicated in 2014 - at the star-studded ceremony.
The pair brought a touch of glamour to the annual event at the El Pardo Palace, which is just outside Madrid, with both opting for sharply tailored dresses.
Mother-of-two Letizia, 44, wore a mushroom-coloured tweed dress which showcased her trim figure with a fitted bodice and cinched-in waist.
The royal, who is famously fond of a stiletto, added a pair of cross-front patent heels for the ceremony.
Meanwhile Sofía, who celebrated her 78th birthday in November, wore a crimson skirt suit and a pair of subtle gold hoop earrings.
The pair were also joined by Letizia's husband, King Felipe VI, and King Juan Carlos I, 79.
Gongs included the distinguished King Felipe Award, which went to Javier Fernández, and the Reina Letizia Award, which went to Ruth Beitia.
Pressing the flesh! Letizia smiled and chatted with delighted-looking well-wishers, many of whom snapped pictures of their royal encounters on their smartphones
Letizia, a former journalist and newsreader, looked to be in her element as she handed giant trophies to the winners.
Also attending the ceremony were the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, Iñigo Méndez de Vigo; the Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Marcial Marín and the president of the Higher Council of Sports, José Ramón Lete, among other personalities.
The winners were picked by a panel of experts in October.
Letizia, who is mother to Princess Leonor, 11 and Princess Sofía, nine, wed King Felipe VI in 2004.
She married into the Spanish monarchy following a successful career as a journalist and newsreader.
She was previously married to Alonso Guerrero Pérez, a writer, but the pair divorced after just a year and by 2003 Letizia had announced her engagement to Felipe, then the Prince of Asturias.
King Juan Carlos abdicated in 2014 in favour of his 48-year-old son, now King Felipe VI.
