'Total lies': Shane Warne and ex-wife Simone Callahan blast magazine claims their daughter Brooke, 19, is a 'wild girl' who parties too hard

Shane Warne and ex-wife Simone Callahan have vigorously defended their eldest daughter Brooke against claims she is 'wild' and a 'party girl' who has inherited her father's notorious partying antics.

The former couple, who separated in 2006, have spoken out against the allegations by magazines that the 19-year-old enjoys a laid back luxurious lifestyle because of her famous father.

Warne has rubbished claims made by Woman's Day that Brooke is regularly choosing partying ahead of work or study, telling the Herald Sun they were simply 'lies'.

'This was the last straw. This latest article they have published has no facts to it whatsoever and is total lies,' Warne said.

'As parents we felt the need to defend our daughter's integrity as she's being portrayed in a light which is not right.'

The champion Australian cricketer was joined by Ms Callahan in defending their daughter.

The mother-of-three said it was wrong their children were brought into the spotlight just because of their father's notoriety.

'It's unfair that they are being harassed, judged and portrayed in a disrespectful way, along with false accusations and being totally misrepresented in the public space,' she said.

Warne and Ms Callahan have two other children - Summer, 15, and Jackson, 18.

This week Woman's Day claimed Brooke was following in the footsteps of her father who regularly found himself in trouble throughout his career for his partying antics. 

'She can drink all her mates under the table and she's usually the last one standing,' a close family friend claimed

'She's just like her dad - she loves to party, drink and have a good time,' a close family friend claimed to the publication.

'She can drink all her mates under the table and she's usually the last one standing,' they claimed.

It came after she recently attended the Portsea Polo alongside her famous father and featured in a post on his popular Instagram page.

'But the clear winner for best on ground / MVP at the Portsea Polo was my daughter @brookewarne!!!!'

Meanwhile, at the bubbly blonde's 18th birthday in 2015, her dad joined Brooke and her friends for Fireball shots. 

According to Woman's Day, Ms Callahan was at loggerheads with her husband and especially disappointed in him encouraging Brooke's erratic behaviour.

However despite the claims, the pair this week presented a united front as they backed their daughter.
