Matthew Perrin has been sentenced to prison.
Former Billabong executive Matthew Perrin has been sentenced to eight years in prison after million-dollar fraud was uncovered.
Perrin was convicted of nine fraud and forgery charges in Brisbane's District Court relating to using his then-wife's signature to access millions of dollars from Commonwealth Bank.
The fraud was uncovered after Perrin had a 49 per cent share of the Australian surfwear label in 2009, but all charges related to personal loans.

The court earlier heard he forged his wife Nicole Bricknell's signature to take out a $13.5 million loan, and also mortgaged the family's $15 million Surfers Paradise home without her knowledge. They are no longer married.
The ABC reported Judge Julie Dick said the bank was still owed about $9 million and that Perrin would be eligible for parole in late 2020.
