The BLOODHOUND Project is a global Engineering Adventure, using a 1000mph world land speed record attempt to inspire the next generation to enjoy, explore and get involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Objectives:

The Project has a number of objectives

  • Inspire the next generation about science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Share an iconic research and development programme with a global audience.
  • Set a new World Land Speed Record of 1000mph..

Mission Statement:

Create a unique, high-technology project, focused around a 1000mph World Land Speed Record attempt. Share this Engineering Adventure with a global audience and inspire the next generation by bringing science, technology, engineering and mathematics to life in the most exciting way possible.

The BLOODHOUND Team are at Newquay Airport to test the Fuel Systems for the EJ200 Jet Engine - they need to simulate the G forces the jet fuel will face at 1000mph by tilting the lower chassis to an angle of 60 degrees. Andy Green’s Diary – November 2016

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days in India this month with the ‘GREAT Britain’ Campaign, supporting the India/UK TECH Summit. It was a very high-powered event, with opening speeches by Prime Minister Modi of India and the UK Prime Minister Theresa May. Both PMs highlighted the importance of technology and its increasingly vital role in our future.
