The ABC of TTC

As if trying to get pregnant isn't difficult enough, there is a whole language of acronyms out there to get your head around too. Let me (try) to explain.

I had to CIO last week when I got my BFN. Despite monitoring my CM and making sure we BD when there was more than enough EWCM every HPT gave me the same answer.

I was sure I was PG, but was having IPS. With every FMU and HPT my HB would rise. I didn't think about it during the 2WW but was pretty sure I was going to get my BFP. When AF arrived, as much as I tried not to be, I was pretty devastated.

If I am not careful, I will totally blow our budget on HPT, but someone did suggest IC HPTs.

Last week was a tough one, but I am very lucky to have such an understanding SO who has been so supportive. TTC is not easy at all. PCOS is a really frustrating condition and I am thinking I might give OPKs a go next month but I don't want to go OTT either.

I don't mean to be OT with this blog, but sometimes it is good to see the  humour in difficult situations (well try to at least) I don't want to give you TMI, but I did PMSL when reading these paragraphs back to myself.

Not sure what that was all about? I wasn't either until I found a list of commonly used acronyms associated with trying to conceive. Before then I was REALLY, REALLY FRUSTRATED when I looked for information online!
