But it looked like Carol Vorderman's love of working and playing may have caught with her.

The former Countdown star, 56, was forced out of bed early for an interview on Good Morning Britain just hours after she had turned heads at the National Television Awards.

The star looked a little worn out as she wore minimal make-up while chatting to Ben Shepherd on the show about her petition to make the last surviving British Dambuster a knight.

Carol delivered a petition to Number 10 Downing Street, calling for the knighthood of George 'Johnny' Johnson, 95, after he was overlooked in the New Year's honours list.

And because of her focus on the cause, it appeared she didn't have too much time to get ready for the slot - her long golden locks were in the same style as the evening before while she covered up her figure in a large, fluffy jumper.

Just hours before Carol had looked sensational as she worked the cameras in a very busty dress.

The I'm A Celebrity star hit the red carpet at London's O2 Arena in a plunging gold gown, which hugged her famous curves in all of the right places.

Thanks to the frock's figure-hugging qualities, the former Countdown mathematics whiz's pert posterior was also given a moment in the spotlight.

The recent I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant teamed her outfit with a pair of silver open-toed heels, in which she displayed her perfectly pedicured toes.

Carol's outing comes just weeks after she was crowned the UK's favourite Fifty Plus Beach Body.

Carol, who has previously said she feels 'sexier since turning 50', certainly gave the younger female contestants a serious run for their money in the bikini stakes on the ITV's I'm A Celeb late last month.

The TV personality also beat Elle McPherson, Sharon Stone, Christine Brinkley, Jane Seymour, Goldie Hawn and Bo Derek to clinch the coveted crown.

Carol recently told FEMAIL that she believes women are leading their own redefinition.

She said: 'Life for women of 'a certain age' is dramatically different to that of our mothers. We're part of the generation who pioneered the evolution of a woman's role; pushing barriers in our homes, families, careers.

'I'm finally living the life I've always wanted and loving every second! I'm living my dream. I'm not a 'woman of a certain age' – I'm a woman of a CERTAIN age which is true of many women in this life-stage.'
