'I'm seriously obsessed': Teresa Palmer credits $1500 'personal night nurse' for good night's sleep after admitting she hired a 'mother's helper' after giving birth last month

Actress Teresa Palmer has admitted to hiring a 'mother's helper' after giving birth to son Forest Sage last month.

And now the Hollywood starlet has credited a high-tech baby cradle for staying well-rested.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday to boast about the baby SNOO smart sleeper, writing: 'I'm seriously OBSESSED, what an incredible tool for parents with new babies!'

The product, dubbed the 'personal night nurse' by manufacturer Happiest Baby, retails for around $1500 and works to soothe a baby by rocking it gently in the crib.

'The SNOO takes all credit for our 6hr a night stretches of sleep!' Teresa mentioned to her 388k followers.

The brunette beauty then went on to say she will be giving one of the machines to a lucky follower, by detailing the entry conditions.

It's likely the competition will only be open to American residents, as international shipping is currently not available for the brand.

Teresa posted a video of the SNOO in action on Thursday to her Your Zen Mama page, with big brother Bodhi by the side of his newborn brother Forest.

'The SNOO in action with Forest (and Bodhi!) and we are doing a GIVEAWAY!!!' the mother-of-two wrote with excitement.

She continued: 'This is seriously my FAV thing that we have purchased for Forest and I totally give all credit for our long stretches of sleep to this bassinet.'

Meanwhile, she admits she's enlisted other forms of help while balancing her successful acting career, lifestyle blogging and motherhood.

The Adelaide-born star revealed on her website YourZenMama she has hired a 'mother's helper' a few hours a week.

Teresa was recently at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah for the premiere of her new film Berlin Syndrome.

On Friday, she wrote a blog post about her experiences since giving birth to her second son Forest last month.

The health and well-being enthusiast also said she was inspired by her own mother.

'My mum took care of me, she raised me on her own and... there's no such thing as a nanny. I wasn't in childcare, she just had me,' she explained.

But Teresa admitted that caring for two-year-old Bodhi and one-month-old Forest meant putting chores on hold.

So she eventually agreed with her friends and hired somebody to help around the home, which has proven to be a great relief to her.

The Hacksaw Ridge star claimed having an extra pair of hands has given her a chance to recover from a recent cold.

Teresa explained that she plans to have the 'mother's helper' come around regularly for a few hours a week to help her.

'This week has been a really good reminder that it's OK to say yes to help,' she said in her blog.

'Accepting that I’m just one woman, with only two arms, 24 hours in a day to work with and a bunch of little people who need me, means that I will take the help (Mum I’m looking at you!),' she wrote.
