  • The 14-year-old suffers from a range of health problems and is partially sighted
  • Mr Williams eventually apologised for his remarks to her on Twitter last night
  • But he has lost his job at a Teesside window makers over his online conduct
  • Police are now investigating abusive messages sent by man from Brighton area

The troll who abused Katie Price's disabled son Harvey has been sacked today.

Mark Williams, 30, from Teesside, sent a series of tweets to the model about her child including one of a picture of a bag of Haribo Tangfastics changed to say 'Harveybo Tan*********'.

In a tweet Williams also described the 14-year-old as a 'c***' and said he 'hoped he choked on some sweets'.

The troll, who appears to spend a lot of time online abusing others including gay people and other stars, worked at window-maker Portrack in Stockton-on-Tees.

But today bosses fired him over his conduct despite his decision to delete around 3,000 tweets that were abusive towards other stars, gay people and Muslims.

Defence: Katie tweeted that she would do all she could to protect her children - and out bullies - and used an image of MailOnline's  story

A worker told The Sun: 'He no longer works here. He got sacked today. We don't know much about it but we were told this morning he's definitely gone.'.

Williams only apologised after he was exposed.

He admitted his vitriolic tweets were 'in bad taste' and claimed 'never thought she (Katie Price) would read it'.

This afternoon he issued a full apology to his local newspaper.

He said: 'I'd like to sincerely apologise first of all to Katie Price, Harvey and their family for the immature and thoughtless comments I have made.

'Secondly for those who know me, close friends and family, I would like to apologise for the shame I have brought to you all.

'To everyone who I have upset and angered with my comments please know this is not how I truly feel, the comments were thoughtless and I realise I showed no consideration for anyone else's feelings and deeply regret my actions.'

Mr Williams confirmed his tweets cost him his job.

This has led to me losing my job which I have always been fully dedicated to and deeply saddened to no longer be a part of the team,' he said.

'I am deeply disappointed and ashamed of my actions and it is only now I realise that my actions truly are unacceptable'.

Williams also sent abusive tweets to popstars Cheryl Cole and Taylor Swift, while he has previously shown support for paedophile footballer Adam Johnson after he was jailed for sexual activity with a child.

Williams, of Stockton-on-Tees, has also written tweets 'hoping celebrities get cancer', said Muslims 'got to hell' and 'Can we hang the gays?'

He also tweeted an offensive mock-up of a bag of Haribo altered to feature Harvey

He tweeted that he 'hoped Harvey choked on the sweets' and also called him a 'c***'

Williams, pictured, was said to be initially 'not bothered' about his abusive comments about Harvey

According to The Sun, when approached by the paper he 'shrugged his shoulders' and said 'I'm not interested'.

But he did send a tweet to Katie apologising for his remarks and said he 'never thought she would read it', and was 'sorry if he upset Harvey'.

It came as Sussex Police admitted they are trying to find a suspect from the Brighton area who also posted offensive messages mocking Katie Price's disabled son Harvey.

Price wrote: 'Caught out!! Another bully on our hands. Anyone know this guy??' - it is not clear if she has gone to the police about Williams.

Harvey, son of Katie and ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, suffers from a number of health problems, including septo-optic dysplasia, which affects his growth and caused him to be partially-sighted. His mother is fiercely protective of him and the teenager has previously opened up about the abuse he receives on Loose Women.

As previously reported, Katie said the discovery that Harvey was blind led to her becoming more protective over Harvey than she is with her other children.

She also has children Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett, three, and Bunny, two, with spouse Kieran Hayler.

Katie said she will 'always be grateful' to the parents of other disabled children for their support, particularly after one parent alerted her to the fact Harvey was showing signs of having insulin-processing disorder diabetes.

It comes after Harvey's brother Junior, 11, defended him against trolls in a video on Instagram.

In the three Instagram videos, a saddened Junior said: 'I cannot believe this guy has made disgusting comments about my brother. Do you know how heartbreaking it is?

'Imagine your brother or sister is paralysed... Would you make these comments? It's just really hard because I love Harvey so much.

Mr Williams eventually sent a tweet to Katie apologising if he upset Harvey, pictured

'Everyone who knows Harvey knows he's such an innocent and loving boy.

'(The troll) has the guts to say things on social media but I bet he doesn't have the guts to apologise.'

Katie's impassioned and driven fight against trolls reached a standout point in 2010 when she called in lawyers after comedian Frankie Boyle made a vile sexual slur against Harvey on his Channel 4 show Tramadol Nights.

Katie has long-campaigned against the Internet cruelty centred around Harvey, who suffers from the rare Prader-Willi syndrome.

According to The Sun, Mr Williams' parents Janet, 49, and Colin, 51, were 'not willing to apologise on his behalf' either.
