Berocca, free food and an afternoon at the BEACH: How bosses turned on the charm so employees turned up to work after Australia Day celebrations - with 200,000 sickies expected
- Australia's bosses bribed their staff to turn up after Australia Day on Thursday
- Instead of having their workers call in sick and enjoy a four-day weekend
- Workers were bribed with food, Berocca and the promise of an early mark
Three bosses have revealed how they bribed their staff into coming into work the day after Australia Day by promising early marks, buying them hangover food and having stocks of Berocca on hand.
Tim Moylan, from Shootsa, Wade Cawood from Pulse Global and Adam Laurie from Digital360 were all 'pretty sure' their staff would show up after Australia Day celebrations on Thursday but provided deal-sweeteners to get them over the line.

'We have a great vibe in our office and we know that our staff love what they do. But, the awkward week can test even the most dedicated team member's work ethic,' Mr Moylan said.
'So we made the decision a bit easier by buying everyone egg and bacon rolls for breakfast and burritos for lunch today.
'The good news is everyone rocked up. We like to think it's our office, but the food could have tipped some people over the line.'
The staff at Shootsa are already treated to coffee during morning meetings and take part in table tennis competitions every day.

The team working out of Bondi-based events business Pulse Global will end up at the beach in the afternoon, according to boss Wade Cawood.
'Our office is right down the road from the beach, so I've told the office that if they're at work on Friday, we'll leave early and head straight to the beach,' Mr Cawood said
'It's so hot in Sydney at the moment that even if they called in sick on Friday, they'd probably be down at the beach anyway.'

We have a smaller team, so a simple reminder to put in annual leave a few weeks in advance is usually enough to prepare for these events,' Mr Laurie said.
'Though I might get some more Berocca for the office, just in case!'
The stratagies appeared to workout for the bosses – who claimed to have a 100 per cent attendance on Friday.
