The rapper Phillip Nickolas Katsabanis, better known as 'Stitches', was arrested for gun and drug possession after he parked in a handicapped spot. They recognized him from previous arrests, and asked if he had a gun. He said no and immediately passed the officer a hand rolled and slightly burnt joint, according to a police report. After searching the car, they found a gun under his seats, and two magazines of ammunition. The rapper has been booked for felony gun and marijuana possession.

Fans of Mary Tyler Moore may still be mourning the loss of the beloved actress after her death on Wednesday, but a piece of her eponymous television show lives on. The seven-bedroom house in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Moore's character Mary Richards lived on the third floor, is being sold for $1,695,000. While the interior scenes were filmed in a studio, exterior shots of the real house located at 2104 Kenwood Parkway were featured prominently in the show, and fans have flocked to the location for years to catch sight of the iconic home. Mischa Barton was hospitalized after being found screaming on her backyard fence wearing just a shirt and tie, TMZ reported. The OC actress was voluntarily taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation after the incident Thursday morning, law enforcement sources told the website. Neighbors found the 31-year-old on top of her back-yard fence in West Hollywood screaming that her mother was a witch. She was also rambling about the 'world shattering', and something about Ziggy Stardust. Police and firefighters were called to the scene after being alerted about a jumper or possible overdose. Not long afterwards the Brit, who turned 31 just two days ago, tweeted: 'Thank you all for all the birthday messages Xoxo'. The tweet seemed to have been deleted as of Thursday evening.

This fascinating set of photographs dating back 150 years show life inside the Japanese Samurai warrior tribes and their tradition of Harakiri. The tradition, also known as Seppuku, was used by warriors who wanted to die with honour either voluntarily or if they had been caught by the enemy. The ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a blade into the abdomen and drawing the blade from left to right, slicing the abdomen open.

A high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave after a video on social media showed her squirting a water gun at an image of President Donald Trump while yelling 'Die!'. Payal Modi, who teaches art at W. H. Adamson High School (inset) in Dallas, Texas, is under investigation by the school district after an eight-second video surfaced on Instagram (left and right), WFAA reported. Modi could be seen aiming and shooting a colorful toy gun at an image of Trump, which was projected on a whiteboard, while repeated yells 'Die!' could be heard in the background.

It's been a week of firsts for President Trump, and Thursday was no different. Today, the mogul-turned-politician took his first trip on Marine One and Air Force One as the 45th President of the United States. Mr Trump took the presidential helicopter to Joint Base Andrews, to ride Air Force One less than 150 miles up the beltway to the GOP's annual policy retreat in Philadelphia. As he ascended the stairs up into the aircraft for the first time, Mr Trump was clearly focused on the business ahead - not even stopping to turn around and wave as is usual for a departing president.

Barron Trump headed back to class on Thursday morning, a little less than a week after his father was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. And despite the outcry about what a burden it would be to have members of the first family living in New York City, it all appeared to be a relatively low-key affair. The 10-year-old made his way to his private school in just a two-SUV motorcade, with Secret Service not shutting down any streets along the way and managing to efficiently get Barron into the building with no closures. Also spotted getting out by DailyMail.com were four of five Secret Service members, who grabbed some breakfast after the drop off.

Law enforcement officials in Florida arrested a Sarasota couple that was found passed out in their car from an apparent high dosage of drugs (above) - even as they had two babies in the backseat. William Ballard (right inset), 36, and Delaney Crissinger (left inset), 32, drove their SUV into a Texaco gas station on Fruitville Road before dawn on Thursday morning. At approximately 8am, customers who drove into the gas station noticed the couple passed out in the front seats. In the back of the car, there were two toddlers - a 5-month-old and a 1-year-old.

Margaret Fagenson, left, the wife of millionaire Wall Street legend Robert Fagenson, jumped to her death from the 14th floor terrace of her luxury New York City apartment. The 68-year-old was reportedly suffering from depression, and died at the scene after landing on a sidewalk next to her building, the Henderson House. The couple owned 14th floor apartment on E 86th Street, which is worth $2.8million, A neighboring doorman said that this is the third person to jump from the building in recent years.

One captures the moment a father, recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, holds his son in his arms for the very first time and speaks to him about the future.

A group of inmates offered to help Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman escape prison in a video filmed inside a California correctional facility. A group of five men, using sunglasses, hats and clothes to conceal their faces, pledged their support to Guzman and bragged about their control over the prison believed to be in Taft, California. Guzman, who is accused of running one of the world's biggest drug-trafficking operations, was extradited from Mexico to New York last week to stand trial.

Dozens of students surrounded Michael Dewitz, 34, chanting 'no more Nazis, ever again' and 'go home Nazis' during his bizarre three-hour stand, held the day before Holocaust Remembrance Day. The stunt only ended when police escorted Dewitz away from the protesters, who held up anti-swastika signs. But shortly after he was led away, Dewitz claims he was 'jumped' by two men in a pickup truck who reportedly leaped out, struck him, and stole his jacket and swastika armband. Dewitz suffered minor injuries.

In an adorable video, Grayce the pit bull (left), expressed her gratitude to foster mom Stevoni Wells Doyle (center) when she gently picked up her 11 puppies (right) and placed each of them in her lap. As her foster mom sat on the floor across from where Grayce gave birth to 10 boys and one girl, the sweet dog was seen placing the last three pups in her arms. The cute moment lasted for nearly two minutes as Grayce enjoyed all of the love and attention from Doyle and her puppies. Grayce was previously neglected in her last home and 'needed a safe environment to have her pups,' Doyle said. The adorable pooch has been living with Doyle in Utah for about three weeks. Applications to adopt Grayce and her pups will be available in February through Rescue Rovers.

Anmarie Calgaro, who is suing her 17-year-old transgender daughter was 'unstable' and 'abusive' during her daughter's childhood, a court heard today. The Minnesota woman has sued her transgender daughter, claiming she started undergoing a male to female gender transition without her permission. E.J.K. told a court that she's been living on her own for two years, and grew up in a house with unstable parents who struggled with substance abuse. She said that when she came out as gay her mother and stepfather became mentally and physically abusive.

Butch Trucks suffered a gun shot wound to the head and died Tuesday in his waterfront condo in West Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 69. A woman caller who is unidentified on the transcript but described as 'hysterical' dialed 911 at 6:02 p.m. The dispatcher noted his wife Melinda (above left with Trucks) witnessed Trucks pulling the trigger. Although he was breathing when police arrive, Trucks  expired seconds later. Palm Beach County court records show Trucks appeared to be wrestling with financials problems. In 2011, Trucks had to sell his prized home in Palm Beach for $2 million when it was possibly worth twice as much to pay off a $800,000 mortgage Last year, the IRS filed two liens against the condo to force Trucks to pay additional taxes for 2013 and 2014 for a total of more than $540,000. He was considered by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 10 drummers in rock history.

More snow has fallen at the US resort this January than in any other month in its recorded history - 20.5 feet - which breaks the previous record by three feet. At the summit the base depth is a staggering 25 feet - and there's 14 feet of snow at lower levels. New Zealand Breakers forward Akil Mitchell was left writhing in agony after his left eyeball was poked out of its socket as he challenged Cairns Taipans centre Nnanna Egwu for a rebound. Extremely graphic footage shows Mitchell falling to the ground with his eye protruding from its socket, as teammates and opponents rush to help him. The awful injury is too much for some to bare, with players, referees and courtside fans visibly upset by the sight.

New York State Troopers rescued 103 puppies from a truck that overturned while speeding on a highway upstate. The truck overturned when the driver, Emily Woodrum, lost control of her box truck and flipped into a ditch on the side of an interstate outside Acova, New York, according to a release by police. The puppies were mostly unharmed, and were all able to be rescued. They were being transported to local malls.

These stunning black-and-white images offer a unique glimpse into the lives of traveller children. Photographer Jamie Johnson was given unprecedented access to the notoriously private Irish traveller commuity at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair and Festival in October. From a little girl smoking a fake cigarette to a young lad brandishing a machete to a couple of boys pointing plastic guns, her incredible images show the carefree traveller children at play.

Lamanda Brown, 29, and her children had been homeless for three years. The children, aged 2, 5, 7, and 11 had been sleeping in shelters and relatives' homes. A caseworker secured public housing, but the family couldn't afford furniture. The nonprofit Humble Design stepped in, fully furnishing and decorating the Detroit home. Lamanda's eldest son cried as he saw the bunk bed he would be sleeping in.

Portugal's Flavia Brito (left) looked ready to hit the Victoria's Secret catwalk; Rebecca Kathleen Rath from Belize (inset) was dressed as a parrot; France's Iris Mittenaere channeled Moulin Rouge (centre) and Soyini Fraser from Guyana looked ready to hit Rio carnival.

A 16-year-old student from Illinois will be charged as a juvenile after she was seen on video viciously attacking a classmate on the bus home from school on Monday. Video of the incident, which was filmed by one of the attacker's friends and then posted on Facebook, shows the attacker hurl a bottle of water at the victim (left), before unloading a series of punches (middle). The fight continued until a male student stepped in to break it up (right). 'F**k with me again, b***h. Say sorry, say you're sorry. Say you're sorry, b***h,' the attacker is heard saying in the video. Police said officers have been told different stories by the girls as to why the fight took place.

More pictures have emerged showing men at the mosque and children at school after they were snapped by European tourists in North Africa in 1899 and put through the Photocrom process. At the turn of the 19th century, countries such as Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia were popular destinations with the colonial classes of Britain and France. And with this European tourists who sought exoticism, wanted to snap pictures of local people going about their daily lives to show people back home.

This lion cub enjoyed a grooming session as it was slobbered by two lionesses in its pride. Wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein, who runs photographic tours for adventure travel, captured the adorable moment the cub was licked by a lioness on both sides. Mr Goldstein spotted the youngster earlier this month during a tour in the Masai Mara national reserve.

The video, filmed near the city of Bandera, northern Argentina, shows the black and white boa constrictor opening its mouth as wide as it can to fit the large reptile's head in it. In the video, a man can be heard saying in the background: 'The only thing we have to say is bon appetit.' The pair were spotted after the area was drained of rainwater after recent floods.

A macaque monkey attentively held a stray dog in its arms after discovering it was abandoned on a city's busy streets. The primate adopted the puppy after finding it was on its own in the neighbourhood of Kareli in Allahabad, India. It could be seen picking up the black and tan dog and carrying it through the streets, before stopping as people gathered to watch the unusual sight. After pausing in the middle of a walkway, the monkey then picked up the puppy and continued to walk a bit further.

The cute video has nearly been watched an astounding 60,000 times online. It isn't known where it was filmed but it shows the animals having a good old scratch on a perfectly placed metal pole. The three-minute video was uploaded by YouTube user George Saunders.
