Taste of Tasmania
It might be the clear waters,
the crisp air or the island state’s
general passion for top-notch
booze, but Tasmania is
certainly onto something
when it comes to fine
spirits. Southern Wild,
a new distillery on
Tasmania’s north-west
coast, has released a gin
called Dasher + Fisher.
It utilises a community
of producers and growers,
and takes inspiration from
the Tasmanian landscape
to create three gins of distinctive flavour - a native pepperberry (Mountain), lavender (Meadow), and wakame (Ocean). $90 a bottle.
Splashes of colour
Artistic types, or those in
need of cheering, could
do well to pile on a few of these brightly hued, paint splatter effect enamel bracelets from Hermès. $875 to $1215. Tel: (02) 9287 3200
Fancy footwork
These rather fun Caninus mules from Manolo Blahnik are destined to be the feature piece of any outfit. They’ve just arrived at Harrolds, which has picked up the brand exclusively. $1860.
