A teenage girl is in a critical condition after falling from the back of a ute carrying eight people, which overturned in Bendigo on Australia Day.
A 16-year-old boy was driving the ute in a paddock at a Windle Lane property in Longlea, when it rolled about 4pm on Thursday, a police spokeswoman said.
"The teen was one of about eight youths in the back of the ute at the time it rolled," she said.
The teenage girl, who suffered leg and pelvis injuries, was flown to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
Another teenage girl, with an arm injury, and a teenage boy, with a hand injury, were taken to Bendigo hospital in a stable condition.
A fourth teen was assessed at the scene, but was not injured.
The 16-year-old driver from Axedale has spoken with police.
Bendigo Highway Patrol members are investigating the crash.
