On Saturday, January 28, we will inaugurate the new KFCF website! We’ll celebrate with wine, snacks, conversation, and you! Our updated site is a good excuse to get together, commiserate, toast practical, peaceful resistance, and talk about plans for the immediate future. And have a little fun. Fun is still important. We will have wine, beverages, snacks, and more….
In addition, we all need to remind EACH OTHER that we are doing good work and that we support one another. We are working hard to keep the station on the air with REAL news, thoughtful commentary, inspiring science, and stirring arts programming. Plus our local programming is broad and supportive of many community groups and initiatives. That is something to celebrate.
The get-together is from 2 – 5 pm at Mike Beever’s home. Drop in anytime between 2 and 5 pm.
Mike Beever’s home is 4887 N. Jackson Fresno, CA (near Cedar and Shaw on the southwest corner of Jackson and Fairmont.)
Suggested donation is $20. Bring a friend or two!
The Soul Kitchen will broadcast live at Mike’s so this is your chance to be part of the buzz in the background.
Your donation will help keep KFCF, Free Speech Radio on the air. Your presence will make it fun.
KFCF vs. Snow Events
When there is snow at our transmitter site at Meadow Lakes, the snow sometimes piles up on the antenna, which causes the signal to be reflected back into the transmitter. Our transmitter reduces power to protect itself. At times we may be operating at one-third normal power or less.
When the snow melts, KFCF returns to normal power levels.
and snow it goes....

KFCF is now streaming again.
Some local shows and KPFA music shows are not streamed because programmers do not wish to comply with federal law of logging all music and complying with limitations involved if their show is streamed. KFCF is substituting other programming during those times for non-compliant shows.

We also can occasionally use volunteers for other things, too. If you can help, send an email to rwithers@kfcf.org or call the station at 559-233-2221.
