Crown Publishing division Ten Speed Press is adding a new imprint: Lorena Jones Books. The new imprint will focus on cooking and lifestyle titles and is named for and will be overseen by Lorena Jones, Ten Speed v-p and publisher of her imprint.
The imprint will publish six to eight titles per year, with the first books hitting stores in April. Among the first titles are Tartine All Day by Elisabeth Prueitt; Peppers of the Americas by Maricel Presilla; Cheers to the Publican, Repast and Present by Paul Kahan; The Million-Dollar, One-Person Business by Elaine Pofeldt; and How Healing Works by Dr. Wayne Jonas. Other titles signed for publication include an investigative work on the diet industry by journalist Barry Estabrook and a cookbook from chef Gabriela Cámara.
Jones spent 14 years working at Ten Speed Press starting in 1995 and later moved to Chronicle Books, where she served as publishing director. She returned to Ten Speed in 2015 to oversee the, as then unnamed, new imprint.
