Kyodo, May 19, 2016: Former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has thrown his support behind a group of former U.S. sailors suing the operator of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant… Speaking at a news conference Tuesday in Carlsbad, California, with some of the plaintiffs, Koizumi said, “Those who gave their all to assist Japan are now suffering from serious illness… I learned that the number of sick people is still increasing, and their symptoms are worsening,” he told the news conference… According to lawyers for the group, seven of its members have died so far, including some from leukemia [Three deaths had been reported as of last July].
Asahi Shimbun, May 19, 2016: Former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi broke down in tears as he made an emotional plea of support for U.S. Navy sailors beset by health problems… More than 400 veterans who were part of a mission called Operation Tomodachi… filed a mass lawsuit in California against [TEPCO]. They are seeking compensation and an explanation for their health problems… Koizumi said: “U.S. military personnel who did their utmost in providing relief are now suffering from serious illnesses. We cannot ignore the situation.” Apparently overcome with emotion, Koizumi started crying… Theodore Holcomb [was] diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. He died in 2014 at age 35. The Department of Veterans Affairs later cut off a study into the causal relationship between his exposure to radiation and his illness… Ron Wright, 26, worked on the deck [and] developed a swelling of the testicles and underwent surgery four times… A military doctor told him there was no relationship between his illness and exposure to radiation.
CBS San Diego, May 18, 2016: Sick sailors meet with Japan’s former prime minister… The USS Reagan sailed through a nuclear plume and crews had to spend hours decontaminating the vessel. Sailors now say they are suffering from radiation exposure. “Honestly, I just want to feel better,” said Chad Holt, who served on the USS Ronald Reagan… “A lot of people, they can’t physically see something wrong with you. They think there is nothing wrong with you. That is not the case what we are living with on a daily basis,” said Daniel Hair, who is now retired from the Navy… “I realized this is something that can’t be skipped over, can’t be ignored any longer. The three claims of being safe, cheap and clean were all lies,” [Koizumi] said.
NBC San Diego, May 18, 2016: Many of the sailors say doctors refused to connect their illnesses with the radiation exposure. “You have to experience it,” said William Zeller. “You have to experience the doctor telling you to your face. You have to experience the years of pain when everyone tells you ‘You know you’re fine.’”… “I realize this is not something that can be just skipped over and can’t be ignored any longer,” [Koizumi] said. “Everyone played a role in not shedding more light on this problem…” Koizumi said… The sailors’ attorney said they have won their case against Tokyo Electric Power Company twice, however the company has appealed the judge’s decisions. It is still unclear how exactly the sailors will be compensated…
San Diego Union Tribune, May 17, 2016: Koizumi [said] he believes the service members’ illnesses, reported to include leukemia and tumors, were caused by the 2011 exposure, despite U.S. government findings to the contrary… Koizumi said the Japanese government and [TEPCO] should support the radiation-exposed U.S troops financially and “across the board.”

All have reason to be concerned. There is the Wigner Effect going on and there is not a fix for this as far as I know.
Also, ene people, so much of nature's oxygen-producing life has been killed off in the oceans and added to that the trees are dying by the many millions. The ability for the balance of oxygen to carbon dioxide ratio to be maintained at a life sustaining level is in jeopardy.
We may suffer hypoxia at some time. As Gaia goes, we follow.

That article is really good.
The pro-nukes claim no one died from Fukushima. But the author of the above article says :
" Bunk! To the contrary, not only have several independent sources in Japan reported cover ups of Fukushima worker deaths, bodies incinerated with ashes hidden in Buddhist temples, and instances of hair falling out, nose bleeding, and assorted serious ailments unique to radiation poisoning, now several deaths of U.S. sailors may be closely linked to this disaster that a pro-nuclear crowd claims demonstrates how “safe” nuclear power really is.
Thus, begging the question:
Are the pro-nukites liars and/or are they being lied to, or what’s up? Who knows, and who really cares which, but their published articles, grandstanding nuclear power, are prominent throughout mainstream big time, and small time, magazines and newspapers and hyperspace, Oceania redux "
Thankfully there's Enenews to counter all the lies.

In regards to the uranium that has escaped containment, there are 3 important problems that must be addressed. The airborne releases from the initial blasts and fires, the residues that splattered and dropped within a short distance of ground zero, and finally, what melted into larger masses that had been considered a falling syndrome into the earth. All three problems individually exceed all previous radiological releases combined.

… Critics of the EPA proposal worry it would allow such facilities to delay cleanup of waste and contamination, which would lead to larger amounts of contamination in drinking water in the event of a radiological accident.
“The science of radioactivity continuously demonstrates that radiation is more dangerous than we knew before,” said Daniel Hirsch, director of the Environmental and Nuclear Policy program at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Despite this, he said, “The actions they are proposing are in the opposite direction, to relax the standards.”
The proposed doses are based on maximum radiation exposure over a one-year period, in contrast to a 70-year lifetime exposure calculation for the Safe Drinking Water Act, and are based on exposure to a single radioactive element, though it’s possible that several different types of harmful substances could be present in drinking water following an incident.
The new emergency guidelines would not apply to the immediate hours and days after a disaster but to the months and years it takes to fully clean up the contamination, leaving the public to consume and bathe in highly contaminated water without violating EPA standards, Hirsch said. …
Report comment
“Most of this is designed so officials could tell you, ‘Don’t worry,’ ” he said.
“The authorities would want to reassure people, and tell you that the levels are a fraction [of the EPA limits], but the question is, are those levels offensive?
If someone told you it is the level that would be the equivalent of 250 X-rays a year, you might not be so reassured.”
For some substances, the new limits are even higher. The cap for iodine-131 — small amounts of which have been found to degrade the thyroid gland — increases from 3 picocuries per liter to 10,350 pCi/L, and for strontium-90, which has been linked to leukemia, the EPA has proposed raising the cap from 8 pCi/L to 7,400 pCi/L, according to data compiled by Food and Water Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based consumer rights nonprofit. …
Report comment
When new standards were proposed by the EPA under the George W. Bush administration, experts at the agency expressed concern that they were dangerously high. The levels proposed under the Obama administration are even higher.
“There is nothing to prevent those levels from being the final cleanup achieved,” Susan Stahle, general counsel for the EPA, wrote in 2009 in an internal document acquired under the Freedom of Information Act by the Food and Water Watch, referring to the lower caps in the Bush administration proposal.
“The approach in this guidance is not confined to just short-term emergencies,” Stahle said, raising concerns that the proposal could “undermine” EPA Superfund cleanup objectives, “especially federal facility ones involving the DOE.”
She said the document could easily be used as a “legal weapon” by the Department of Energy and other agencies.
EPA employee Stuart Walker wrote in a 2007 memo to agency officials, “Concentrations are hundreds, even thousands of times higher than the MCLs [maximum contamination levels].”
Standards suggested at the time for radioactive isotopes tellurium 129 and 127 “may lead to sub-chronic [acute] effects following exposures of a day or a week … that is, vomiting, fever, etc.,” he said.
“The [Protective Action Guidelines] would allow the public to drink water at concentrations 200 times greater than EPA’s guidance for emergency removals,” he said, adding that the standards were even higher for some…
Report comment
Walker notes that exposure to radiation could extend to food, and shipments of contaminated produce “could greatly expand the population” affected by a radiological incident and could damage the agriculture industry in unaffected areas “if the public becomes alarmed that radioactive food is being shipped around the country.”
Hirsh said the more lax standards could be intended to benefit the nuclear industry, which could use them to postpone or avoid cleanup requirements. Relaxing regulations speaks to the desperation of the industry, he said.
The nuclear power industry, which for years has been lauded as the future of zero-emissions energy production, has seen 19 plants decommissioned in the past decade, according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
But Jerry Hiatt, a senior project manager and health physicist with the Nuclear Energy Institute, an organization that promotes nuclear energy, said the industry in no way seeks to shirk its safety obligations. …

I thought Unit #3 compromised Unit #4…..that blast didn't just go up (think Unit #1's whoooomppfff).
I remember seeing the walls crushed inward away from Unit #3. The fires late were from compromised coolant basins and plumbing.
It is possible that a weapon of sorts "went off" but I don't think it was sabotage/intentional, just stupidity and arrogance in placing what used to be one of the world's largest nuclear electrical generating stations so close to a shore where it was KNOWN that tsunamis occurred.
Plutonium was being extracted by the ton.
Problem is a lot of it went into the biosphere when the reactors went awol.
The spent fools' pools are another problem.
The Common SFP is not a place where I imagine peace.

A lot of discrepancy here… Anyone interested in dissecting it?
One question for now: How can they calculate the amount of release when they have no data on the release(s)or the missing fuel, and they claim no readings were being taken during significant portions of the event? (Also does not calculate ongoing fissioning or "to date" quantifications.) How would it be possible to be missing three cores of Fukushima derived matter and claim it was a fraction of Chernobyl release?
Another highlight (one of many), is that the inevitable, graphic, immediate radiation to some workers- resulting in death, is completely absent from this document. That simply is not possible. The scenario is quickly diverted, vague, ending with a period and starting a new paragraph. "…saw steam and closed the door." I notice also, there is NO mention of life lost- or not lost.
Water warnings were lifted April and May (for children). This needs scrutiny. It reads like an advertisement for nuclear safety when in fact it should sound off alarm bells for the cover-up that included risking lives for public relations damage control. Did they REALLY tell the people it was OK to give their kids this water when the fissioning was on-going? Is this what is behind the EPA water fiasco? Damage control?
It is obvious this document has been formatted for public release at a time when the industry in no way desired for disparaging information regarding Fukushima to be released to the public.

Japan's National Daily Since 1922
Editorial: Probe into Fukushima nuke plant's 'meltdown' cover-up lacks credibility
June 21, 2016
… the panel … failed to even question the then prime minister or chief Cabinet secretary. The panel later explained that it had neither the authority nor the time to question these top officials.
It is extremely sloppy that the panel suggested that there was political intervention into TEPCO's response to the accident based only on presumptions, as it is an important point. It could give the public the impression that the panel shifted the blame away from TEPCO to the prime minister's office.
Moreover, the report says it cannot be recognized that the company had intentionally concealed the existence of the definition of reactor core meltdowns in the manual for five years, hinting that the panel sided with the power company. As such, it is difficult to trust the panel.
These problems apparently remind the public that there are limits to investigations by third-party panels, such as those conducted into money scandals involving former Tokyo Gov. Yoichi Masuzoe and House of Representatives member Yuko Obuchi.
Even if these bodies are called "third-party" fact-finding panels, it is highly questionable how far they are independent since these are set up by those involved in scandals. …

Those involved in wrongdoing should not use third-party panels they set up to justify their practices or evade responsibility.

The whole point and purpose of the human race is for the survival of the species. That survival is based upon the passing down from generation to generation the knowledge of survival.
In today’s world, a basic education permits your survival. These are the ‘life skills’ we develop. Any “advancement” is really just an extension of this path.
Unfortunately, not one of these life skills can be construed as real survival skills. They are all dependent upon the continued existence of all the modern world.
A reversal of civilization due to any number of factors, only one which is peak oil and peak energy, would result in a huge knowledge gap of the required skill set for human survival. NWO order agenda must also be considered.
The 'educated', would find themselves unable to cope. This the situation we are facing today. The young and middle-aged generations alive today are lacking in the basic skills and the advanced skills and knowledge that will be required of them. I’m not even going to mention the elderly, they’ll live long enough to witness much of the collapse, but none of them will survive it.
It’s rather unbelievable that we have such a shallow foresight regarding our future survival.

The focus still remains on the status quo and the non-sustainable civilization we have built for ourselves. The outcome of this shortsightedness is very predictable, but only because we remain stubbornly and stupidly entrenched in non-solutions and non-responses: collapse, die-off, disease and wide spread destruction.
It’s becoming very, very clear that collapse is well understood and well recognized by our political leaders. But are they so busy with their own personal and private affairs and saving their own sorry hides that they would sacrifice all of humanity?
High schools, colleges and private universities are not even aware that they are mass producing mindless robots that won’t have any future function in the world ahead. They do not see the danger or the irresponsibility that they are teaching and promoting. They’re lack of awareness and action, from the grade schools on up, will doom hundreds of millions to their early deaths.
I know I’m just flapping my gums and uselessly pounding away on this keyboard, but nonetheless, without a sincere, dedicated effort to save our young generation, we are guilty of speciescide.

Let me have a few hundred thousand carcinogens here."

Traded treasures of goods for fiat money
Massively overbuilt and redundant ‘shopping malls" full of mindless and clueless consumers. I don’t understand mall shoppers, or even their very existence (the malls that is). Perfect real-life examples of why our society and civilization is headed toward destruction. In general, the gross ignorance of life’s dependency and interconnectedness with everything else is simply not realized by most people.
They’re not attuned to these ‘harsh’ realities that all the baubles and trinkets and clothing and shoes and gaudy crap being sold in these massive malls actually came from some natural resource, somewhere, somehow and was mined, grown, packaged, processed and delivered tens of thousands of miles to sit on a polished glass shelf for their consumption.
Environmental degradation and depletion is widely known, yet continues to this very day, fueled by hordes of ‘shoppers’ and consumers who think nothing of supporting overseas sweat shops and exploited natural resources so that they can (very strangely) feel ‘better’ about themselves as they adorn their bodies with the latest fads and fashions.
