Situated in the heart of Southbank in the iconic Eureka Tower, the Skydeck stands at a staggering 297 metres above the streets of Melbourne. Both locals and visitors regard the Skydeck as one of the best things to do in Melbourne.
As the highest public observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere, we offer unparalleled views over Melbourne. Visitors are invited to come and explore the urban sprawl, humming neighbourhoods and Melbourne Tourist attractions and landmarks by day; and dazzling city lights at night. Enjoying birds eye views of the iconic MCG and sporting precinct, Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park Lake and out as far as the Dandenong Ranges should be on every visitor’s list of Melbourne Things to do. Melbourne’s notoriously unpredictable weather provides an ever-changing lens through which to enjoy the spanning panorama of the city- no two days are the same from the Skydeck.
We are also the home to the world’s first and only Edge Experience – a glass cube that projects out from the building with you inside. Not for the faint heated, The Edge Experience further validates the Skydeck as a quintessential Melbourne tourist attraction.
No need to make a booking; tickets can be purchased at the door. We offer a range of family ticket deals and upgrades – the two-trip ‘Sun & Stars’ package; admission to the Edge experience; and the unlimited annual pass – all of which can be purchased online or at the ticket booth on-site.
The Eureka Skydeck is a self-guided experience, with a variety of language visitor guide brochures available. Hungry or thirsty? Our Skydeck kiosk offers a range of snack food, hot and cold drinks, and a boutique selection of beer and wine.
We are open from 10am until 10pm every day, with final admission at 9.30pm. (On Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve we close at 5.30pm; final admission 5.00pm).
So for Melbourne Things to do by day or night, come and experience Melbourne from above and enjoy our incredible vantage point at one of the most unique Melbourne Tourist attractions- Eureka Skydeck.
