When Obama received the Nobel Prize in 2009, the committee acknowledged his commitment to peace. He has since bombed eight countries.

On January 3, 2017, Syrian refugees, joined by Iraqi refugees and international supporters, marched on the Russian embassy in Thessaloniki, Greece. An article reporting on the march quotes a Syrian refugee as follows:

“They are trying to kill all the flowers in Syria, but they cannot kill the Spring. The Spring is coming. We are here, they cannot kill all the Syrian people.”

Tras cuatro años de negociaciones, se firmó en la Habana, Cuba, el acuerdo de paz entre el gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos y las FARC-EP, mientras el proceso con el ELN sigue empantanado y el proceso con el EPL ni siquiera está en la agenda política. Los pronósticos que temían la posibilidad de un quiebre en las negociaciones han quedado ya sin base, cerrándose así un ciclo de lucha que, necesariamente, deberá abrir nuevos escenarios y posibilidades.

La NATO, rappresentata dallo stato turco, da due giorni sta bombardando senza pietà le unità di difesa popolare curde YPG che stanno avanzando a nord di Aleppo nelle città di A’zaz e Tal Rifaat. I bombardamenti, che hanno ucciso almeno 23 civili, si sono concentrati sulla base aerea di Menagh, conquistata nel 2013 da una coalizione di “ribelli”, tra cui Al Qaeda (il Fronte Al-Nusra) e altri che poi sono confluiti nello Stato islamico. Menagh è un obiettivo strategico per i rifornimenti alla “ribellione” al servizio delle petrol-teocrazie e degli interessi di USA e UE. Ahmet Davutoglu ha detto che di questi bombardamenti è stato informato il vicepresidente USA Joe Biden, il quale anche se non approva pubblicamente l’intervento militare, non lo ha condannato né ha provveduto a frenare lo Stato turco, che non agirebbe mai senza l’assoluta certezza del sostegno USA.
