Thank you so much to all of you who entered the contest to name UNDP's Pandas for the Global Goals and become one of the 17 Panda Champions!
On Monday, 19 September, UNDP Goodwill Ambassador and award-winning actor Michelle Yeoh announced our twin pandas’ names live at the 2016 Social Good Summit.
They are Qiqi - in English ‘beginning’, and Diandian, which means ‘moment’. Together, the names give the sense of the start of a journey – in this case, our journey together towards 2030 as we work towards achieving the Global Goals.
